These include celebrating European Geoparks Week; the highly successful 12th European Geoparks Conference and progress in discussions between the Global Geoparks Network and UNESCO to develop a UNESCO Global Geoparks Initiative. The inclusion of articles by six new members, Azores Geopark (Portugal); Karavanke/Karawanken Geopark (Slovenia & Austria); Idrija Geopark European Geoparks (Slovenia); Hondsrug Geopark (Netherlands); Sesia-Val Grande Geopark EDITORIAL (Italy); Kula Geopark (Turkey) reflects the expansion of the EGN to 58 Network Magazine members.
