Director’s Message Hello Mequon-Thiensville Community Members: Thank you for taking time to read this message and for looking through this amazing selection of Fall opportunities. We have a vast selection of offerings this Fall for all ages, I hope you can find something to your liking. Some of our new exciting programs include Outdoor Skills, Virtual Adult Conversational Spanish, Bringing Home Baby and Caring as New Parents, Cartonnage, and Wreath Making. Our third school year of the Kids’ Campus program has finished up and although we had an tough year with COVID-19, it was still very successful. We had 200 total kids in our program with over 11,000 registrations. Certainly would have seen more without COVID-19 present, but we are hoping next school year will be much higher. Plans are underway and looking to see how we can better the program. REGISTER NOW for ’21-’22 school year!! If you have any questions or comments on the program, please contact Elisa Salvo, our new Kids’ Campus Director at 262-238-7548 or [email protected]. Elisa worked for the Kids’ Campus program in ’18-’19 and ’19-’20 as site supervisor at Donges Bay. She did an exceptional job while there and the kids and parents raved about her. We are extremely excited to welcome Elisa back and we look forward to bigger and better things with her in charge. Please join us in welcoming Elisa to the team once again! Our Summer 2021 is packed full of amazing classes and our enrollment is one of the highest in 15 years. We were excited to offer many more programs than we did last Summer. Programs that have high enrollment include Summer Academy, Swim, Pickleball, Soccer League, Soccer Camp, Track and Field League, TBall, Computer Explorer Classes, Babysitting, and Mad Science Classes to name a few. We hope that you and your children enjoy their Summer filled with Rec Dept offerings. Planning for the Winter/Spring 2021-22 brochure is underway. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me via email at mschoemer@mtsd. k12.wi.us The Range Line School building is now going to be called “Range Line Community Center” and there will be a new electronic sign in front. This sign will have upcoming events scrolling on there as well as any other exciting news relating to the Rec Dept. The name change is exciting because it is truly a community center for people of all ages to come and enjoy classes and space at the facility.
