The HM Institute and Museum for War History has commissioned a travelling exhibition for the distinguished event, presenting the life of Ferenc Rákóczi II, the key events of the freedom fight of Rákóczi, and the armed forces of the freedom fight: the Kuruc and the Labanc. Opening ceremony: 24 July (Wednesday), 12:45 Wine tasting and pálinka tasting daily from 18:00 o’clock _________________________________________________________________________________ Krúdy-yard Gastro, wine and pálinka spots where speciality from Kistücsök, Anyukám mondta, Rókusfalvy birtok and Aston Catering can be tasted by participants. Restaurants refurbish the meals and dishes of traditional Hungarian cuisine within the framework of modern street food style, and may quench their thirst from the selection of nine wineries of the Carpathian basin (Southland, Highland, Transylvania and Little-Hungary), as well as may taste the best of Panyola Pálinkas. Try the electric bike on a trip to the Saint Anne Lake or take a trek to the Apor-bastion, the Sólyomkő or the Tower Stones with Hargita Outdoor! Bicycle tours start daily at 10:00 and 15:00 o’clock, walks on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 o’clock. Register at the information point in the camp. Camp My piece of art on the wall, organised by MANK Festival participants are called upon a common creative workshop to cover a clad surface of one of the guest houses with patterns they like. We provide the paint and the pencil, you bring your creativity! _________________________________________________________________________________ Hungarian inventors travelling exhibition Venue: Community House, Tusnádfürdő, Állomás utca 14/C. The exhibition can be visited between 25 July 2019 and 28 July 2019 daily from 13:00 to 17:00. Various inventions made by Hungarians can be found in many fields of life, including their applications. Their usefulness and widely spread use demonstrate the significance of the contribution Hungarians made to the progress of humanity. The travelling exhibition is compiled from the material of the colourful, excellent quality book, edited by Szabolcs Szilágyi with the title “Hungarian Inventors“. The exhibition offers basic information on 60 outstanding inventors, discoverers, scientists of the past centuries, but about the representatives of the contemporary generation and their inventions just as well in four different languages (Hungarian, German, English and French). The town that used to be known primarily for the onions grown in the region is today visited by tourists for its tourism attractions. The town has a unique architectural heritage as its cityscape dominated by 12 buildings designed by Kossuth Prize holder Imre Makovecz. The most well-known one of these, the one attracting the largest numbers of tourists, is Hagymatikum Spa whose shape illustrates one of the most valuable treasures of the Carpathian Basin, that is, the thermal water gushing out of the depth of the earth. The town treats the participants of the 30th Tusványos event to special local tastes, smells and atmosphere, visitors can taste mangalica ham with onion marmalade and local ewe cheese at the Town’s stand, accompanied by the beautiful flavours of the local Kontyos fruit wines.
