Through a focus on student success at all levels, UTC has made significant increases in the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded and the six-year graduation rate over the past few years. Since 2010, the number of under- graduate degrees awarded has increased 58.7 percent, and the six-year graduation rate rose to 44, marking a 15.7 improvement. UTC’s average high school GPA for incoming 2016 freshmen was 3.51—the highest in more than 20 years – and the average ACT of 23.7 surpassed both state and national averages for college-bound students.
