    Program Book Rules 1. No Weapons: No real weapons are allowed on the convention grounds. Anything in a costume that is weapon- like in appearance must be peacebonded at registration. Please see the Weapons & Prop Policy (Page 10) for more information. 2. Guns: While guns are a part of many Costumes and main symbols of a lot of Anime Characters, the real world frowns on anything that looks like a real weapon. UVic will not allow anything that looks like a real gun. There- fore, we ask that you leave them at home. If you need a prop gun for a Cosplay Contest or skit, contact the convention staff before attending and we’ll see what we can do. 3. Listen to the con-staff: If a Convention staff member or Uvic security asks you to to do something, politely respond to the request and follow the instruction. 4. Area Restrictions: Non-convention rooms and hallways are out of bounds. There will be exams in session dur- ing the convention, please be respectful when passing through these areas. 5. Respect your fellow con-goers: Don’t make others uncomfortable. We want this to be a fun experience for ev- eryone, so respect the people around you. If you are not sure whether or not something is appropriate, it is best to err on the side of caution as this rule is enforced at the discretion of the convention staff. 6. Keep exits and hallways clear: Beyond following the fire code, this allows for greater mobility among attendees and improves the convention experience for everyone.

Nail Biter Horror Suspense Anime Gets English Dub for Blu-ray SANTA MONICA, CA (May 20, 2017) – Aniplex of America Inc. announced at their industry panel at Anime Central (Rosemont, Illinois) that they plan on releasing popular horror suspense anime series Occultic;Nine on Blu-ray this year. Fans of the series were thrilled to learn that the Blu-ray set will also feature an English dub for the first time ever. The set also includes a deluxe booklet, illustration pin-up cards, and special package design illustrated by Character Designer Tomoaki Takase (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend). Pre-orders begin on May 22nd with Volume 1 scheduled to be released on September 26th and Volume 2 on December 26th. Based on the light novel series written by Chiyomaru Shikura (creator of Steins;Gate), Occultic;Nine is animated by renowned studio A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Blue Exorcist, Persona franchise, Magi franchise) and directed by Kyohei Ishiguro (Your lie in April). In addition, the OST is composed by Masaru Yokoyama (Your lie in April, WWW.WAGNARIA!!). The Japanese cast stars Yuki Kaji (Magi franchise, KIZNAIVER, DURARARA!!) as Yuta Gamon, an otaku with a rather pretty face who dreams of quick cash and Ayane Sakura (Nisekoi, Charlotte, Your lie in April) as Ryoka Narusawa, a pale and innocent girl who is very well endowed. The English dub features an all-star cast including Erik Scott Kimerer (Asterisk War, Magi franchise), Robbie Daymond (God Eater, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works), Erica Lindbeck (ALDNOAH.ZERO, Your lie in April), Cristina Vee (Magi franchise, Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Michelle Ruff (Sword Art Online, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, DURARARA!!), and Max Mittelman (Your lie in April, ALDNOAH.ZERO).

    1 PREVIOUSLY AT KAMI-CON KAMI-CON CHARACTERS PREVIOUSLY AT KAMI-CON... Shio and Kosho, with the help of YOU the congoers, defeated the alien forces and grounded Shoyu on planet Vidya—a world where the physics, landmarks, and inhabitants have developed into something remarkably similar to the video games we are familiar with here on Earth. However, it seems that Shoyu would not be defeated so easily. After crash landing on Vidya, he began to court the local inhabitants of the planet to join him and fight for his cause! With the planet he was supposed to be trapped on becoming a new source of power, it was up to you Kami-Congoers once again to rise to the occasion and help Shio and Kosho stop Shoyu! (This seems to happen a lot. Who would have known that having the Spirit of the Yandere Black Turtle for a magical animal mascot would have brought so much drama to Kami-Con? Oh, well!) With the help of the congoers, Shoyu only managed to recruit three powerful allies— Ken from Street Fighter, Princess Peach from Super Mario Bros., and Link from The Legend of Zelda. Shio and Kosho recruited Ryu from Street Fighter, and Vault Boy from Fallout. These heroes met on the battlefield known asSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate! It was truly an epic match—and in the end, it was Shio and Kosho who proved victorious! His coup having been thwarted, Shoyu agreed to team back up with the congirls to continue their journey through space toward World Conquest! Everything should be fine now as long as they don’t all, say, crash their starship into a mysterious beach planet… right?
