What is it? Gold Sodium Thiosulfate is a metal used primarily in jewelry, dental work, and in gold plating.

How can I avoid it? Individuals who are allergic to gold should be able to avoid this metal. This may require not wearing gold jewelry, removing gold dental prostheses, or not receiving gold-based medicines. Many patients who have positive patch test results to gold, find no relevance of their gold reaction to their dermatitis.
