CEHE a 501(c)(3) organization was originally established in 2006 by a small group of philanthropists who donated millions of dollars to U.S. colleges and universities and were concerned about the growing challenges facing higher education in America. From 2007-2012, CEHE operated as a public charity. It conducted a series of research programs and supported faculty interested in improving higher education at universities around the country and internationally.

Since the 2012 merger, CEHE has worked to make improvements in delivery methods and content in higher education through its colleges, and is actively involved in providing educational opportunities to the thousands of students it now serves.

Paul Mitchell Schools Public / Private: Private No. of Locations: 100+ Lease Signature: Travstar LLC No. of Locations Owned by this Franchisee: 2 Guaranty: Guaranteed by One Individual Website: www.paulmitchell.edu

In 1980, two friends, Paul Mitchell and John Paul DeJoria, were inspired to create a company that would support the success of hairdressers and provide luxury hair care at an affordable price. With just $700, they launched a revolutionary hair care system with three products: Shampoo One®, Shampoo Two®, and The Conditioner®. Today, their dream is a reality. Paul Mitchell currently produces over 100 products and is available in over 80 countries worldwide.

From the very beginning, education was a big part of the two friends’ vision. Soon, the company had assembled a team of outstanding stylists and educators. In 2000, they opened their first Paul Mitchell Schools location. Today, Paul Mitchell Schools has over 100 locations strong, and growing.

Lou Starita is the Owner and Co-Director of Paul Mitchell The School Nampa and Paul Mitchell The School Boise. Lou has been involved in the beauty industry for more than 20 years. Influenced by his late father Louis Starita Sr. who was a multiple salon-owner, platform artist, school owner and Minnesota Cosmetology Association President, Lou developed a love for the beauty industry at an early age. Lou is currently serving a three-year term as the Zone One Commissioner for the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences and has been invloved with cosmetology advisory boards in his previous home state of Minnesota.

At Paul Mitchell Schools, the educators believe that education is an adventure and the learning experience needs to be fun. Paul Mitchell Schools offers six different types of programs, ranging from cosmetology, barbering, skin care, nail care, teaching training, and an advanced academy. The learning leaders are trained to draw out the artist in every student and prepare them to succeed in both their chosen careers and their lives as globally aware and community-conscious contributors. Through the School’s annual “FUNraising” campaign, they have raised and donated over $15.2 million in support of many charitable causes. The Schools have built homes with Habitat for Humanity, fed thousands of African orphans, and supported the victims of AIDS, breast cancer, homelessness, abuse, and hundreds of other causes.
