Biographical/Historical note Bernard Ralph Maybeck (February 7, 1862-October 3, 1957) was an American architect, known for his Arts and Crafts, Mission style, and Beaux-art buildings in the area, predominately. He studied at the Ecole de Beaux Arts in and moved to Berkeley, California in 1892. He taught at the University of California, Berkeley. He was married to Annie White.
