Chapelknowe Road, Carfin

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2006

On 20 December 2006 the Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on the installation of a new power cable) on Chapelknowe Road, Carfin from its junction with Cleland Road continuing eastwards to the line of the extended western kerb of Morris Crescent by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes:-

Vehicles on the west side of the closure should proceed north westwards on Cleland Road, north eastwards on Road, north eastwards on Carfin Road, north eastwards on High Street, southwards on Mosshall Street, south-eastwards then southwards on Cleland Road then westwards, north-westwards, south-westwards then westwards on Chapelknowe Road to the east side of the closure.

Vehicles on the east side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Vehicular access to properties on Chapelknowe Road to be maintained on arrangement with the contractor.

The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 8 January 2007 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday 18 February 2007.

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2006

The North Lanarkshire Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restriction) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, hereby make the following Order.

1. This Order may be cited as "The North Lanarkshire Council (Chapelknowe Road, Carfin) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2006" and will be effective during the period from 0001 hours on Monday, the Eighth day of January, two thousand and seven until 2359 hours on Sunday, the Eighteenth day of February, two thousand and seven.

2. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on the installation of a new power cable) on Chapelknowe Road, Carfin from its junction with Cleland Road continuing eastwards to the line of the extended western kerb of Morris Crescent by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Vehicles on the west side of the closure should proceed north westwards on Cleland Road, north eastwards on Newarthill Road, north eastwards on Carfin Road, north eastwards on High Street, southwards on Mosshall Street, south-eastwards, then southwards on Cleland Road then westwards, north-westwards, south-westwards then westwards on Chapelknowe Road to the east side of the closure.

Vehicles on the east side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Vehicular access to properties on Chapelknowe Road to be maintained on arrangement with the contractor.
