PRESTONWOOD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY ANNNOUNCES THREE NEW COACHING ADDITIONS Two Former PCA Coaches Return Home and Ex- Cowboys Coach Joins Coaching Staff

PLANO, TX, April 16, 2013 – Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) has announced the addition of three new coaches to its Athletics Department: Head Girls Varsity Coach Sherry Ollison, Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Chris Lovell and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Tony Ollison. Sherry Ollison and Lovell are returning coaches to PCA’s Athletics Department, while Tony Ollison joins PCA from Arizona State University having previously served as Senior Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Dallas Cowboys organization.

“The athletic accomplishments of these coaches are extensive, but more importantly, each one of them are godly individuals of great character and integrity in all aspects of life,” said Athletics Director and Head Football Coach Chris Cunningham. “They are proven mentors of young people and will positively affect the PCA campus culture for years to come.”

Sherry Ollison returns to PCA after coaching at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to that position, she served as PCA’s Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball Coach from 2009-12. She received her bachelor’s degree from the and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee. She also served in the women’s basketball program of both universities under legendary coaches Gary Blair and .

Chris Lovell returns to PCA as Head Varsity Basketball Coach to continue his previous PCA successes of leading a nationally recognized boys basketball program, which, over the past four years has achieved great success. Lovell returns to PCA after a stint as head boys varsity basketball coach at Grapevine Faith Christian School. Lovell was part of the PCA basketball program as Assistant Boys Varsity Basketball Coach and the leadership that led the school to earn three TAPPS Division 5A state championship titles and one state finalist position. PCA’s boys varsity basketball program has sent, or is sending, four student athletes to major Division I college programs. Lovell also served as head student pastor at Prestonwood Baptist Church while coaching at PCA. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

PCA’s new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Tony Ollison comes to PCA from Arizona State University after serving with the Dallas Cowboys organization for more than 15 years in this area. He formerly served with the University of Tennessee, the University of Arkansas and Arizona State University. He has developed and implemented conditioning programs for legendary athletes, such as Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Peyton Manning. Tony Ollison is currently the senior assistant strength and conditioning coach for Arizona State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Arkansas, where he played defensive end for the in four bowl games and two SEC conference titles.
