coal required for the above power plant is procured, since its inception, though E- auction carried out by central coalfields Ltd and / or Jharkhand state Mineral Development Corporation as Lohari Coal Block to which power plant's coal supply was linked was de-allocated by the Hon'ble Supreme court before the Coal Block was commissioned.

(a) Mode Since inception coal required for the power plant is being transported by Road.

(b) Distance 83 KM - 110 KM (depending upon the coal mine from which the coal is allotted).

lll. Feasibility of transporting coal to nearest Railway station(Hatia - 15 KM and Tatisilwai 1 km) & details of progress made till date :-

(a) HATIA (15 KM) : Presently Hatia is handling only outward coal traffic (transported through road from nearby mines). There is no infrastructure to deal with inward coal rakes. copy of letter No. o/pL/Tts/uWL/r5 dated 1,1,.12.2015 from office of the sr. Divl. optns. Manager, south Eastern Railway, Ranchi is enciosed as Annexure - ll.

It is pertinent to mention that Hatia railway station is situated in populated area and Road transportation from Hatia to Tatisilwai will be through Ranchi city during limited hours.

(b) TATISILWAI (1 KMI: Required infrastructure to deal with inward coal rakes is not available. Discussions were held lvith Railway official at Ranchi. lnfrastructure required for dealing inward coal rakes at Tatisilwai may be possible on completion of phase ll construction. However, no time limit has been received by construction organization for completion of the required facilities in phase ll. copy of letter No. o/pL/RNClGoods shed/Tts/18/286 dated 10.04.2018 from office of the sr. Divisional operations Manager, south Eastern Railway, Ranchi is enclosed as Annexure - ll!.

(c) Coal allotment by Central Coalfields ttd by Road Mode only.

Requirement of Coal for the above power plant is small in the range of 1.251 per annum. As per their policy allotment of coal to nearby consumers is made by Road Mode' only. Circular No. CCL/HO /C-4/S&M/FSA/Road Mode/ 9008-15 dated 09.09.201.4 of Central Coalfields Limited, Ranchi is enclosed as Annexure - lV.

(iv) Details of coal source & Linkage Documents :

Lohari Coal Block to which supply of coal for the above Cpp was linked has been de-allocated by the order of the Hon,ble Supreme Court. euantity of the coal requirement being small, it is procured through E-auction carried out by M/s' Central Coalfields Ltd. and M/s. Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation.
