Arlenis Sierra ante la élite del ciclismo en la Strade Bianche La Habana, 5 mar (RHC) La estrella del ciclismo cubano, Arlenis Sierra, correrá este sábado junto a una constelación de la ruta femenina la VII edición de la Strade Bianchi, en Siena, Italia. Para Arlenis, de 28 años y ya clasificada para los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio, será su tercera presentación en la prestigiosa prueba italiana, tras el lugar 35 en 2018 y el 53 en 2019. Además, marcará su estreno esta temporada, tras varios meses en Cuba sin competir ni dentro ni fuera de la isla, a causa del impacto mundial de la COVID- 19. La medallista mundial, multicampeona panamericana y ganadora de varias carreras en el circuito profesional, ocupa actualmente el lugar 29 en el ranking mundial y funge como capitana del Monex Women Pro Cycling, antiguo Astana. “Me siento bien. Será una competencia con la presencia de todas las mejores del mundo, pero como siempre saldré a dar el máximo hasta el final”, dijo en breves declaraciones a Radio Habana Cuba la hija ilustre de Manzanillo (oriente cubano). En la lista de partida de la lid se anuncian todas las figuras importantes del ciclismo de ruta en el mundo, que recorrerán 136 km por las carreteras blancas de Siena. Según el sitio web oficial del evento están confirmadas las fantásticas holandesas, encabezadas por la campeona mundial y ganadora de las dos últimas ediciones Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team), la campeona olímpica de Rio y actual monarca mundial Anna Van Der Breggen (SD Worx), y la igualmente monarca olímpica y mundial Marianne Vos (Team Jumbo-Visma Femenino). Van Vleuten tendrá la motivación adicional de que pudiera convertirse en la primera mujer tricampeona de la afamada carrera. Otras aspirantes a la victoria serán la italiana Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo Femenino), Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon Sram Racing), Marta Bastianelli (Alé Btc Ljubljana y Ellen Van Dijk (Trek-Segafredo Femenino). Expertos consideran que la Strade Bianche es una carrera ideal para jóvenes ruteras, pues solo una ciclista la ganó después de cumplir 30 años, justamente Van Vleuten, quien se impuso en las últimas dos ediciones con 36 y 37 años. J’estime qu’il reflète les progrès significatifs que nous avons accomplis dans la modernisation de notre organisation afin de veiller à ce qu’elle soit une Fédération Internationale remarquable par ses résultats et son intégrité. J’ai été élu Président en 2013 avec pour mandat de restaurer la confiance dans notre sport et l’UCI ainsi que leur crédibilité. En 2015, nous nous sommes appuyés sur les avancées réalisées l’année précédente afin de poursuivre cet objectif précis. L’UCI contribue à montrer la voie dans l’établissement des meilleures pratiques en termes d’intégrité et de transparence sportives.

JAARVERSLAG 2016 3 VOORWOORD 4 TERUGBLIK 6 JAAROVERZICHT 16 ORGANISATIE 20 DISTRICTEN EN AFDELINGEN 21 OVERZICHT VERENIGINGEN 23 LICENTIES 25 WEDSTRIJDEN 26 RESULTATEN EN UITSLAGEN VOORWOORD Het jaar 2016 was een bijzonder jaar in de geschiedenis prestaties in de verschillende wielerdisciplines van van de KNWU. Een jaar bomvol emoties. mei 2015 tot en met oktober 2016. In september 2016 is Vincent Luyendijk gestart als In februari kwam het onvermijdelijke nieuws dat algemeen directeur. Hij zal de KNWU leiden en verder algemeen directeur - Huib Kloosterhuis - was ontwikkelen in deze uitdagende tijden op weg naar overleden. Wij zijn dankbaar voor alle energie, humor Tokio. en passie die Huib in zijn jaren als directeur aan de KNWU heeft gegeven. Na 20 jaar partnerschip was 2016 ook het jaar dat de wegen van Rabobank en de KNWU zich scheidden. De Op mondiaal niveau wonnen ‘onze’ renners en rensters Rabobank heeft ontzettend veel voor de wielersport tal van medailles en regenboogtruien. Het begon in betekend, waar wij als wielerbond enorm dankbaar januari en hield niet op tot ver in het najaar.
