Recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and the Union Cycliste Internationale, USA Cycling is a membership-based organization that strives to grow the sport domestically; encourage and support non-racing enthusiasts; and also foster the identification, development, and support of American cyclists in international competition. Unlike most other national cycling federations across the globe, USA Cycling receives no government funding. Sources of revenue for USA Cycling include annual membership sales, event fees, grants from the USA Cycling Foundation and the United States Olympic Committee, corporate sponsorship, and generous gifts from individual donors. In 2016, we revised both mission and vision statements to align them more closely with the changes we’ve enacted and the direction we’re heading. MISSION The mission of USA Cycling is to develop the sport of cycling in the United States at all levels and to achieve sustained international racing success while fostering a shared commitment to safety, integrity, and the joy of cycling. Biomatematický model 2016: Rio ‐ časovka žen Tipy na zajímavé etapy, které byste chtěli do BMM zařadit, S malým odstupem se vracíme k vrcholu letošní globální připomínky a náměty posílejte na [email protected] cyklistické sezóny, konkrétně k silniční cyklistické časovce žen. Do ní se nekvalifikovala ani nestartovala žádná česká závodnice, ale máme tady přeci BMM… Intenzivní déšť není zrovna ideální počasí pro souboj s chronometrem a tak souboj o nejcennější kovy proběhl za žalostné divácké kulisy. 29,7 km dlouhá trať, kořeněná několika kopci a technickými sjezdy na specifickém brazilském asfaltu budila respekt už za sucha v hromadných závodech, natož pak na vodě. Nejlepší recept na její nástrahy nakonec našla favorizovaná Kristin Armstrong. Tento příspěvek je věnován speciálně cyklistkám zapojeným do BMM, nicméně i muži si trať časovky vyzkoušeli, více ve výsledkové listině na další straně. J’estime qu’il reflète les progrès significatifs que nous avons accomplis dans la modernisation de notre organisation afin de veiller à ce qu’elle soit une Fédération Internationale remarquable par ses résultats et son intégrité. J’ai été élu Président en 2013 avec pour mandat de restaurer la confiance dans notre sport et l’UCI ainsi que leur crédibilité. En 2015, nous nous sommes appuyés sur les avancées réalisées l’année précédente afin de poursuivre cet objectif précis. L’UCI contribue à montrer la voie dans l’établissement des meilleures pratiques en termes d’intégrité et de transparence sportives.

1st SCHELDEPRIJS 2021 Women Elite - April 7 LORENA WIEBES OPENS THE HONOR ROLL It was an extremely long delivery before the birth of the first Scheldeprijs for women. To avoid conflicts with the Dutch Healthy Aleing Tour the women’s edition was delayed time after time. Until Paris-Roubaix for women was added to the calendar, the Dutch moving their race to early March and thus creating space for the first Ladies Scheldeprijs. The interest to start in Schoten was overwhelming, several teams had to be denied from participating. Finally 28 teams and 152 riders were allowed to start. The route included a long stretch through the Nord Kempen and three local laps in Schoten. In the first hour the ladies covered 42,5 km. The peloton broke into pieces and a few crashes, none serious, eliminated some of the riders. In the local laps Daniek Hengeveld took a 1’20” lead but in the final lap the peloton quickly approached. Also the Italian Letizia Borghesi made an effort to break away from the pack but it all came together and a sprint would need to decide on a winner. It was the fast Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes who became the first female winner of the new Scheldeprijs.
