Introduction
South Village is a proposed mixed use residential development that proposes a convenient based shopping centre that will provide for two Supermarkets one Coles Supermarket and liquor of 4740m2 an Aldi Supermarket and liquor (discount) of 1380m2, First Choice Liquor Store of 1250m2 and associated specialty shops having a mix of cafe, bakery, newsagent, restaurants, pharmacy, butcher and associated retail services. It is anticipated that the specialty shops will compliment the Supermarkets. 749 Residential apartments will be located above the centre.

Site Details
The site is located on the corner of Princess Highway and Oak Road and will provide for a community based centre. A community will live above the Centre since 749 residential apartments will co locate with the centre. A park will be located on the corner of Oak Road and Flora Street this will act as a part of the retail centre benefiting the units on site and the surrounding community. This will also allow for residents who reside within the centre to easily shop and live in one location. Notwithstanding it will also cater for those residents who reside nearby providing options to the customers to drive or walk to the Centre. The Shopping Centre has the provision of basement car parking off Flora road and 78 short term car parks located on grade off Oak Road within the site.

First Choice Liquor Store
9am to 9pm- Monday to Saturday and 10am to 9pm- Sunday
Note: Cleaning, bakery and fresh food preparation for staff and contractors will be undertaken outside these hours of operation, between midnight and 6am daily
4.0 Number of Employees
Coles Supermarket will generate full time/part-time positions for 60 staff and 70 casual staff. At any one time it is expected that 25 staff will operate the Supermarket.
Aldi Supermarket will generate full time positions for 25 staff and 5 casual staff. At any one time it is expected that 10 staff will operate the Supermarket.
First Choice Liquor Store will generate full time positions for 20 staff and 5 casual staff. At any one time it is expected that 5 staff will operate the Supermarket.

Trolley Management Plan
The Coles Supermarket will have a cartronics magnetic system to ensure that trolleys are contained within the site. This is an effective way to minimised the loss of trolleys on to surrounding streets.
The Aldi Supermarket and First Choice Liquor Store will provide trolleys for its customers via a coin operated system. The trolleys will be located at the front of the Supermarket and First Choice and various trolley bays will be located within the retail basement car park for trolley return when shopping has been completed.
Coin operated system minimises the trolleys being removed from the Centre and is an effective way to control the loss of trolleys.
A trolley collector will also ensure that the trolleys are effectively returned to the front of the stores for customers to shop the supermarkets and First Choice in an effective and efficient manner.

Car Parking
The Centre will allow for short term on grade parking being located off Oak Road however the Centre will also have a basement car parking dedicated to the retail component that allows for customers to park and then easily walk to the centre via conveniently located travelators.
Basement 1 and Short term car parking will accommodate a total of 541 retail car spaces dedicated to the retail Centre. (Including 10 car share spaces)

13. Specialty Loading and Waste
Specialty loading will be provided in the loading dock which will allow all the specialties to have goods delivered. A light will notify the dock manager of any deliveries who will manage the specialty dock. All waste from specialties will be provided within the retail waste room located in the loading dock. Loading/Unloading and waste collection will be within the hours proposed for the supermarkets.
