Co-composer Martin Armiger:

Composer Martin Armiger had done one short forty minute film, Drac, in 1972, before doing Pure Shit in 1975. His next notable composition for the screen was the score for the 20 by half hour ABC TV series, Sweet and Sour, in 1984, and thereafter he composed music for TV miniseries (Cyclone Tracy, 1986, 1990), documentaries (Cane Toads: An Unnatural History, 1988) and feature films (, 1988).

The prolific Armiger has many other scores to his credit, as well as an extensive career in pop music as a and also as a performer, most notably in the band . He has also composed for the stage, and in 1998 won the AFI Award for Best Music for a feature film for Thank God He Met Lizzie.

He became the head of Screen Music at the AFTRS, which at one time carried his staff details (link no longer working) and which provided this short career summary:

Award winning film composer Martin Armiger has been writing for the screen for more than thirty years. Early works still attracting interest include Bert Delings notorious 1975 feature about heroin users, (Pure Shit, re-released in 2009 by Beyond Films,) and Jan Chapman's series about rock musicians (Sweet and Sour, ABC 1984) which will have its soundtrack re-released this year. Other projects include Clubland, Thank God He Met Lizzie, Young Einstein, Sweetie, The Secret Life of Us, , Come In Spinner and Police Rescue. His last film was Mark Lewis' 3D documentary feature Cane Toads: The Conquest, (to be released in 2010) and he composed the current on air music for ABC TV News. He is Head of Screen Music at AFTRS.

Armiger had his own website, no longer active as of May 2016, with Armiger dying in France in November 2019.

He has a detailed wiki here.

Co-composer Red aka Redmond Symons:

Symons started out in pop music, occasionally turning to composing for film and television, usually in association with others, such as jazz composer Paul Grabowsky and fellow pop performer Martin Armiger. Symons subsequently had a much more electric career than Grabowsky or Armiger, both of whom mixed other musical activities with regular work for film and television.

Red Symons has a wiki here, and his agent had this short CV here, which now links through to the Wayback Machine:

A science graduate in computer programming and pure maths, Red Symons has established himself in the entertainment industry as musician, author, stage & screen performer, record producer, composer, columnist and, most recently, breakfast announcer on ABC radio 774, . Red's theatrical flair and humour was apparent from his early days as guitarist with the band "Skyhooks" who swept onto the Australian music charts with their "Living in the 70's" anthem, and many hits including "Ego is not a dirty word", "Women in Uniform', "Blue Jeans" and "All My Friends are Getting Married". His popularity as a media personality, however, was evidenced during his years with the long-running national television program, "Hey Hey It's Saturday". The Hey Hey team enjoyed music mixed with spontaneous banter and fun'n'games. Paradoxically, Red became one of the shows most endearing performers despite being the heartless and sarcastic judge in the weekly "Red Faces" segment. There can be few performers who have appeared on Countdown with a number one record, Neighbours in its first week ever, escaped from theBig Brother house, lost a quarter of a million dollars on Who wants to be a Millionaire, been measured as Australia's smartest celebrity ( yes, it's an oxymoron) on The National IQ Test and written music for Blue Heelers, whilst contributing a regular column to The Age newspaper. In between all this he managed to fit in a number of stage shows that inevitably involved some sort of cross-dressing. Red also wrote the music for Australia 's first condom commercial. Popular on the corporate and arts speaking circuit, a regular on ABC TV's Einstein Factor, a judge on 7 Network's Australia's Got Talent, Red Symons can be heard Monday to Friday, 5.30am-7.45am on ABC radio 774. (ABC radio Melbourne, the breakfast shift was current as of March 2015). (Below: Red Symons, in showbiz Skyhooks mode 1975, posing with dummy in 1975, working the red faces gong, and in more posed later official mode).
