Ms. Huey Evans, president of Tribeca Global Management (Europe) Ltd, will receive the 100 Women in Hedge Funds’ European Industry Leadership award. She is a risk management expert who worked for many years in senior positions at Bankers Trust and chaired the International Swaps and Dealers Association from 1994 to 1998 before heading the markets division at the UK's Financial Services Authority for seven years. More recently, she has helped build out Tribeca into a premier multi-strategy hedge fund platform within Citigroup. In February 2006 Ms. Huey Evans was appointed to the European Commission’s Expert Group on Alternative Investment Funds. In 2004, Ms. Huey Evans was appointed chairman of the Joint Forum, a group of experts working under the umbrella of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS). She holds a BA from Bucknell University in Economics.

Mr. Hintze, who is founder and Chief Executive Officer of CQS, will receive the 100 Women in Hedge Funds' European Effecting Change award for his philanthropic activity. Hintze established CQS in 1999 and the firm, one of the largest hedge funds in Europe, now manages over US$6 billion. Over the last several years, the Hintze Family Charitable Foundation has made awards to educational and health programmes and the arts, including The Prince's Trust, The Prince's Foundation, Trinity Hospice, The Evelina Children's Trust, the Victoria and Albert Museum's Sculpture Galleries, the Vatican Museums' Pauline Chapel and the University of Sydney.

Philip Hook is a Senior Director in the Impressionist and Modern Art Department at Sotheby’s. He originally joined Christie’s picture department in 1973 with a degree in the History of Art from Cambridge University. From 1980-87 he was head of Christie’s 19th Century Picture Department. In 1987 he left to co-found The St. James’ Art Group in London, dealing in European 19th and 20th century pictures. In 1994 Mr Hook joined the Impressionist and Modern Art Department at Sotheby’s. He has appeared regularly on the BBC TV programme Antiques Roadshow as a picture expert and is the author of Popular 19th Century Paintings (1986) and five successful novels set in the art world: Optical Illusions (1993), The Stonebreakers (1994), The Island of the Dead (1995), The Soldier in the Wheatfield (1998) and An Innocent Eye (2000).

You can own a contemporary piece from Lucy Dickens, the great-great-granddaughter of British literary genius Charles Dickens. Dickens is well known for her moody and atmospheric paintings of every day life; she uses light and shade to achieve a unique dramatic effect. She began her artistic career in 1990 following her experience as a fashion stylist and an illustrator and has had over a dozen solo exhibitions and numerous mixed exhibitions in London and the UK, which established her as an artist. Dickens is following in the long lasting artistic traditions of her family, and the lucky bidder will also have a chance for a private studio tour with Dickens.

Simmons & Simmons has been collecting modern and contemporary art for more than fifteen years. Like the firm, the collection has grown increasingly international. Nonetheless, it remains true to its original objective of supporting young artists, early in their careers, by acquiring significant work. Their aim has been to bring to young artists a showcase beyond the galleries in which their work is usually seen and to provide the opportunity to engage with some of the most interesting elements in contemporary art. Over the years, the collection has become increasingly international, with work by American, Australian, Dutch, French, German, Irish, Japanese and South African artists, including Turner prize winners Michael Raedecker and Wolfgang Tillmans. You and eight guests can enjoy a private viewing of this renowned collection with Stuart Evans as your personal guide. Stuart Evans has been a partner at international law firm Simmons & Simmons since 1981 and has been responsible for assembling a major collection of contemporary art for Simmons & Simmons. Between 1997 and 2000 Stuart was chairman of the Tate Patrons of New Art and in 2001 was a juror of the Turner Prize. In 2006 Stuart and his son John began acquiring works of art for the Lodeveans Collection, a new international collection of contemporary art which aims to provide a resource for public institutions.

You and nine guests get a private, guided tour of the V&A exhibit New York Fashion Now. The exhibit displays the work of the latest generation of New York fashion design- ers. It brings together designs by 20 of the most talented and innovative designers from the numerous independent fashion labels launched between 1999 and 2004. The display will feature around 60 outfits together with accessories, and designs range from sporty daywear to glamorous evening wear and will be arranged in five themes: sportswear chic – showing practicality combined with ornament and luxury, atelier –couture designs that reveal highly accomplished craftsmanship and techniques, avant-garde – the more radi- cal side of New York fashion, and menswear and celebrity – looking at the role celebrity has played in the success of some of the labels. The property offered in this sale and listed in this catalogue will be sold by the 100 Women in Hedge Funds, Limited (“100WHF”), registered with the Companies House under number #06057707. Any questions in relation to the auction should be directed to 100WHF and not to Sotheby's, which serves merely as auctioneer for 100WHF in conducting the sale and participates on the following terms and conditions which govern the sale of all the property offered (as amended by any posted notices or oral announcements during the auction):

1. (a) Neither Sotheby's nor 100WHF assumes any risk, liability or responsibility for the authenticity or the authorship of any property identified in this catalogue (that is, the identity of the creator or the period, culture, source or origin, as the case may be, with which the creation of any property is identified herein).

(b) All property is sold with all faults and imperfections and errors of description and neither Sotheby's nor 100WHF makes any representations or warranties of any kind or nature, expressed or implied, with respect to the property and in no event shall either of them be responsible for the correctness of any descriptions of property, nor be deemed to have made, any representations or warranties of physical condition, size, quality, rarity, importance, genuineness, attribution, authenticity or provenance of the property. No statement in the auction catalogue or other description made at the sale, in any sale invoice or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a representation or warranty.

(c) Prospective bidders should inspect the property before bidding to determine its condition, size and whether or not it has been repaired or restored.

(d) Property may be offered subject to reserves.

2. Any property may be withdrawn by Sotheby's or 100WHF at any time before the actual sale.

3. Unless otherwise announced by the auctioneer at the time of sale, all bids are per lot as numbered in the catalogue.

4. Sotheby's and 100WHF reserve the right to reject a bid from any bidder. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the lot in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, the sale records of the 100WHF shall be conclusive in all respects.

5. If the auctioneer determines that any opening bid is not commensurate with the value of the property, he may reject the same and withdraw the property from sale, and if, having acknowledged an opening bid, he decides that any advance thereafter is insufficient, he may reject the advance.

6. On the fall of the auctioneer's hammer, the highest bid¬der shall be deemed to have purchased the offered lot subject to all of the conditions set forth herein and thereupon (a) assumes the risk and responsibility thereof, (b) will sign a confirmation of purchase thereof and (c) will pay the full purchase price or such part as 100WHF may require. 100WHF will not release a lot to a successful buyer until payment of the total amount due has been made.

If the foregoing conditions and other applicable conditions are not complied with, in addition to other remedies available to 100WHF by law including, without limitation, the right to hold the purchaser liable for the bid price, 100WHF, at its option, may either (a) cancel the sale, retaining as liquidated damages all payments made by the purchaser or (b) resell the property on three days notice to the purchaser and for the account and risk of the purchaser, either publicly or privately, and in such event the purchaser shall be liable for payment of any shortfall between the original sale price and the price achieved upon resale, all other charges due hereunder and any incidental damages.

7. Payments for purchases must be made in Sterling and in the following forms; cash, cheque (backed by cheque guarantee card) and all major credit cards.

8. In the case of commission bids or bids transmitted by telephone, Sotheby's and 100WHF are not responsible for errors or omissions arising out of or resulting from mechanical difficulties or failure.

9. In no circumstances will Sotheby's or 100WHF rescind any purchase made or refund the amount paid in respect of any lot.

10. Neither shipping nor delivery costs are included in the price at which a lot is knocked down by the auctioneer to the buyer.

11. These Conditions of Sale, as well as the purchaser’s, 100WHF and Sotheby’s respective rights and obligations hereunder, shall be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
