If you participated in either of the previous home computing/technology benefits, you may still participate, however the limits below are combined across all schemes.All staff on permanent contracts of employment are eligible to take part in the benefit with a maximum salary sacrifice limit of up to a £100 per month. All temporary staff who are on a fixed term contract of employment are also eligible to take part in the benefit, however there will be a reduced salary sacrifice limit of up to £50 per month. Order by 15th November 2014 Sign your electronic Employee Hire Agreement by 22nd November 2014 3 Once you have completed your order you will be emailed an Agreement detailing the packages and options you have selected. This Agreement will confirm the monthly gross salary reduction, which you must sign in order to participate in the benefit. PLEASE NOTE – Your order may be cancelled if your electronic Agreement form is not signed by this date. Your employer will carry out eligibility criteria checks 4 This is to ensure that all employees meet the eligibility set out to allow participation in the benefit, (see ‘How the benefit works’ and ‘Frequently asked questions’ sections of the brochure for more information). Delivery will be arranged for between 22nd November–3rd December 2014 5 All deliveries are subject to approval and stock availability, and arrangements to deliver your chosen package will only be confirmed once your Hire Agreement has been signed. The equipment is delivered to your home on the agreed date 6 Delivery will be arranged with you for a weekday that’s convenient and is subject to stock availability. For security reasons, the equipment needs to be delivered to your home, or similar residential address i.e. family, friends. Your salary reduction is due to begin on your salary pay date in 7 January 2015 This will continue on each following monthly pay date during the 36 month period. Throughout the period of hire, your employer must ensure that the equipment is adequately protected, and therefore each package includes a series of useful extras which are bundled with it. This helps give you peace-of-mind as the salary sacrifice arrangement is fixed for 36 months, and continues even if the equipment no longer works or is lost, stolen or damaged. Warranty Up to The warranty covers the hardware of your equipment and during the limited warranty period, the manufacturer will at its discretion, repair or replace any defective component. Parts and labour will be covered. Windows and Apple Mac computers have 36 months manufacturers' warranty. Please note that iPad products have 12 months warranty. Samsung tablet packages include 24 months warranty. Smart TV packages include 36 month warranty. RAN SU CE IN Tablet worldwide accidental damage and theft insurance with no excess 36 As the hire agreement is for 36 months, and the tablet packages are such portable devices, likely to be taken away MONTHS from the home, it makes sense to protect them for the full length of the agreement. Please note that the other main packages in the benefit need to be covered under your home insurance for accidental damage and theft. Protective case (tablets only) This clean, protective case increases the functionality of the tablet, without losing access to any buttons, jacks, camera, or the light sensor. Corners protect against drops and bumps, and the case doubles as a cool stand - perfect when watching videos. It's bundled with the tablets to help protect them for the duration of the benefit. Internet security The internet security software has updates for 36 months and includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, and firewall. This software is designed to keep your computer safe online for the duration of the benefit. The internet security software included will be specific to the Windows or Apple OS X operating system of the machine that you choose. Internet security is not included with tablet packages or Smart TVs. Backup My PC software The backup software helps you backup your personal data such as photos and music in the unlikely event of a fault with your computer. It is your responsibility to ensure your data is backed up correctly. Backup My PC supports Blu-Ray, CD, DVD and dual-layer DVD recordable and re-writable devices, network shares or an external USB hard drive. Please note that this software is bundled only with machines with Windows operating systems. Not included with tablet packages, Apple Macs or Smart TVs. WipeDrive software Wipedrive System Saver from WhiteCanyon is a software package which ensures the personal data on the hard disk or flash memory (solid state memory) of your computer can be securely cleaned at the end of the benefit. If data is not securely removed from the system, it can remain accessible after the computer has been disposed of which could lead to personal identity theft and/or fraudulent use of your data. Let's Connect supplies Wipedrive software with the package because it has the highest level of security certifications for this type of data cleaning software on the market, and is the only disk wiping software approved by the US Government and Armed Forces.
