The (AKA )

The Flash aka Barry Allen was the son of Nora Allen, an optimistic farmgirl, and Henry Allen, a doctor living in Fallville, Iowa. After he and his twin brother Malcolm were born two weeks late during storm one night, both parents are falsely informed that the latter son is stillborn by their mother's doctor. In truth, Malcolm is actually born healthy, but given to a family of crooks staying in a separate hospital room, the Thawnes, whose child has died during birth. Despite the bond between his parents being cemented because of them, the lateness of their birth would eventually play an important role in Barry's bad habit of always being late. Barry grew up reading comics books about his favorite superhero Jay Garrick, the original Flash, and acting out many of his adventures with most of his friends, including his childhood sweetheart Daphne Dean. By age eleven, his mother was killed, and his father was wrongly tried and convicted for the murder, later dying in prison as Barry watched him. However, the young Allen refused to believe that his father was guilty of the crime. His life ground to a halt as he dedicated himself to finding the real murderer and, more importantly, finding the motive behind the murder. Because of this, Allen studied forensic science, and dedicated himself to solving not only his mother's case, but those of other people in his situation. After graduating, Allen found work with the Central City Police Department as a police scientist, with a well-known habit for slowness and lateness. Working late in the lab one night, a rack of chemicals that he was working next to was struck by lightning, and Allen was doused in chemicals. Surprisingly unharmed, Allen cleaned up the mess and returned to work, but soon noticed that the world appeared to be moving much slower than normal. He soon realized that it was not the world that had slowed, but himself who had sped up. An avid fan of comic books, especially the adventures of the Jay Garrick Flash, Barry decided to follow in his hero's footsteps and fight crime, taking Garrick's superhero name as a form of tribute. Experiments with his powers revealed that not only was he super fast (faster than time when he tries), but he could vibrate his molecules, allowing him to appear invisible and phase through solid objects. He could also think and process information at light speed. His girlfriend's adoptive father, Ira West, created a suit that could deal with his powers, and chemically shrunk it so it could fit into a ring for ease of portability. Though much of his crime fighting was limited to Central City, Allen constructed a Cosmic Treadmill to allow him to travel to alternate dimensions.

Hansel and Gretel are the children of a poor wood cutter. Fearing starvation, the wood cutter's wife—the children's step-mother—convinces him to lead the children into the forest, and abandon them there. Hansel and Gretel hear her plan, and gather white pebbles, to leave themselves a trail home. After their return, their stepmother again convinces the wood cutter to abandon them; this time however, they can only leave a trail of breadcrumbs. Unfortunately, animals of the woods ate their trail of breadcrumbs causing Hansel and Gretel to become lost. Lost in the forest, they find a house made of gingerbread, with sugar windows, which they begin to eat. The inhabitant of the house, an old woman, invites them in and prepares a feast for them. The woman, however, is a witch who has built the house to entice children to her, so that she may fatten them up and eat them. She cages Hansel, and makes Gretel her servant. While she prepares to boil Hansel, she tells Gretel to climb into an oven to be sure it is ready to bake; but Gretel guesses that the witch intends to bake her, and tricks the witch into climbing into the oven, closing it behind her. Taking valuables from the

witch's house, they set off for home to be reunited with their father, whose wife has since died. They all lived together in perfect happiness.

The Big Bad Wolf then ran to her grandmother’s cottage far ahead of Little Red Riding Hood, and knocked on the door. When Grandma opened the door, he locked her up in the cupboard. The terrible wolf then wore Grandma’s clothes and laid on her bed, waiting for Little Red Riding Hood. When Little Red Riding Hood reached the cottage, she entered and went to Grandma’s bedside. “My! What big eyes you have, Grandma!” she said in surprise. “All the better to see you with, my dear!” replied the wolf. “My! What big ears you have, Grandma!” said Little Red Riding Hood. “All the better to hear you with, my dear!” said the wolf. “What big teeth you have, Grandma!” said Little Red Riding Hood. “All the better to eat you with!” growled the wolf pouncing on her. Little Red Riding Hood screamed and the woodcutters in the forest came running to the cottage.

They beat the Big Bad Wolf and rescued Grandma from the cupboard. Grandma hugged Little Red Riding Hood with joy and the Big Bad Wolf ran away never to be seen or heard of again.

Merryweather was about to bestow her gift when the evil fairy Maleficent appeared in a flash of green fire. She cast her spell to soften Maleficent’s curse. Aurora would not die when she pricked her finger but she would fall into a deep slumber, only to be awakened with True Love's Kiss. When Aurora arrived at the castle, the three fairies left her alone to mourn. But Maleficent soon appeared to make sure her curse came true. Maleficent put Aurora in a trance and led the princess to a spindle hidden in the castle. There, Aurora pricked her finger and fell into a deep sleep. When the three fairies found Aurora, they realized that Maleficent's evil curse had come true. They had to find Aurora's true love from the forest so he could give her True Love's Kiss to break the curse! It didn't take the three fairies long to recognize that Prince Phillip was the man Aurora had met in the forest. Prince Philip was prepared to fight the evil fairy and save Aurora!
