It was whilst researching my family history a number of years ago which involved researching in Bradford, Halifax, and Queensbury, then more recently, transcribing the Kipping registers etc, that I came across the name Arthur Blackburn. This gentleman visited no less than 117 graveyards between the years 1928 to 1932 to transcribe the Monumental Inscriptions from each Headstone. He travelled to most graveyards in the Bradford District, also further afield including amongst others Calverley, Drighlington, Hawksworth, , , Harewood, and Pudsey. Queensbury Football We are forming a new u11s Girls team for the 2015/2016 season, which starts in September. From Wed 3rd June, 6:30pm to 7:30pm for 6 weeks, girls in current Year 4 and Year 5 can come along to Pit Lane and get a taste of football with FREE one hour coaching sessions and small sided games. There’s no obligation to attend all sessions. After the six weeks regular training will take place on a Thursday evening. The girls will need to be in Year 5 and Year 6 in the new school term in September to be able to register and play for the team.
