TENNESSEE HISTORY DAY 2012 SPONSORED BY TENNESSEE SOCIETY SAR Tennessee History Day is the state affiliate of the National History Day competition. Six preliminary district competitions take place in West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, North Middle Tennessee, East Tennessee, Northeast Tennessee, and Southeast Tennessee in February and March culminating with the state level competition in April. State-level winners move on to the National History Day competition in June. History Day is a year-long curriculum enhancement program that engages students in grades 6-12 in the process of discovery and interpretation of historical topics.
