What is changing? Starting May 19, 2014, a broader range of materials will be accepted in the curbside blue box for . Here’s a complete list: RECYCLE AT THE CURB:

 PLASTIC BAGS and , eg., clear  NO: Crinkly wrap, eg. for  Empty bags of paper receipts and or opaque plastic bags for groceries, dry tea, floral arrangements; kitchen food residue cleaning, bread, newspapers and flyers; plastic wrap or stretch wrap for clear bags for produce and dry bulk meat, poultry, fish or cheese;  Cut off or remove metal foods; frozen vegetable bags; pre- zipper-lock bags; potato chip or grommets, rope drawstrings and washed salad bags; outer bags for diaper snack bags; plastic shipping non-plastics items from plastic and feminine hygiene products; outer envelopes; plastic bags labelled bags wrap for paper towels, tissues and other biodegradable; multi-layer or  Stuff all plastic bags into one bag bulk paper products and soft laminated plastic packaging, eg. for and tie handles firmly flats; water softener, salt, wood pellet bacon, deli meats, cheese slices and garden product bags; overwrap on etc.; plastic bubble packaging; mattresses, furniture and electronic lumber or construction wrap equipment

 Remove , tape, paper and  PLASTIC FOAM containers, trays for  Packing chips or peanuts or foam cardboard from foam cushion food and cushion packaging used to noodles protect electronics, small appliances, etc. packaging  Blue or pink foam board insulation  Separate colour and white plastic foam

: Clear and coloured non-deposit  Drinking ; dishes; cookware;  Empty and rinse containers glass bottles and jars whole or broken window glass or  Recycle lids; remove from mirrors; ceramic products containers and deliver to depots loose  Take deposit beverage containers to Return-It Depot for refund

Note: An unlimited number of blue boxes may be placed at the curbside for weekly collection, as long as each container is no more than 68 Litres or 20 kg. Questions? Comments? Concerns?
