(II) LETTER OF SUBMITTAL

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, Washington, DC, July 11, 1995. Hon. , The Speaker, U.S. House of Representatives, Washington, DC. DEAR MR. SPEAKER: By direction of the Committee on Appropria- tions, I submit herewith the Committee’s report on the subdivision of budget authority and outlays for fiscal year 1996 pursuant to the requirement of section 602(b) of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974. On June 29, 1995, the House of Representatives adopted the conference agreement to accompany House Concurrent Resolution 67, the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for FY 1996 that con- tained the Committee’s allocation of spending authority. The following subdivision is consistent with the section 602(a) al- location contained in the Budget Resolution. While technically this is not a revised subdivision under the Budget Act because it is the initial subdivision made pursuant to an adopted conference agree- ment on the budget, this subdivision reflects only modest changes from an earlier subdivision that was based on the House-passed budget resolution. That earlier subdivision was accomplished so that the appropriations process could begin in a timely fashion. Sincerely, BOB LIVINGSTON, Chairman.
