Día 1. / HABARANA (160 km’s 04 hours drive) Arrival at the Colombo Airport. Clients will be met by our Spanish speaking driver / guide and airport staff and offer assistance. Thereafter transfer direct to Habarana with comfort stop en route. Habarana is the central point of ’s cultural triangle and the most convenient base for excursions to the Ancient historical cities. Check into Cinnamon Lodge / Chaaya Village, Habarana. This simple, but comfortable hotel is in an idyllic location with air conditioned cottages scattered in a 50 hectare landscaped garden on the border of a peaceful lake. The hotel has a Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Ayurveda “Wellness” Centre, Nature Trails, Trekking, Biking and many other nature oriented activities. Check into The Cinnamon Lodge / Chaaya Village, Habarana. Afternoon at leisure by the pool, relax in the extensive gardens of the hotel or Optional Elephant back safari through the jungles of Habarana. Each elephant will carry 4 passengers. Día 2. HABARANA / ANURADHAPURA / MIHINTALE / HABARANA (Habarana / Anuradhapura - 65 km’s 02 hour’s drive / Anuradhapura / Mihintale - 15 km’s ½ hour drive) After breakfast full day excursion to Anuradhapura The best known of Sri Lanka’s cities, it was the capital of the island for more than a thousand years from the 05th century BC. A number of Buddhist monuments here date back over 2000 years. Lunch at Palm Garden Village Anuradhapura. Thereafter proceed to Mihintale.A little away from the main Anuradhapura town is Mihintale. This forest clad mountain is sacred to all Buddhist because Buddhism was introduced to Sri Lanka in the 03rd century BC from this point. This climb to the summit is interesting as from here you could see the whole of the surrounding jungle area. There is a Buddhist dagaba on top of the rock. Día 3. HABARANA / / (Habarana / Sigiriya 25 kms – ½ hour drive (one way) / Habarana / Polonnaruwa 46 kms – 01 ½ hour drive (one way) After breakfast Climb the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. This UNESCO World Heritage site, a spectacular Rock Fortress, is one of Sri Lanka’s major attractions. The most impressive facets of the unique complex are the Water Gardens, the Frescoes of beautiful maidens, the Mirror Wall with ancient graffiti, the Lion platform and the Summit of 1.6 hectares, which was completely covered by buildings during the period of Sigiriya’s glory. Return to Hotel for Lunch Afternoon excursion to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital. (Option is available for pax to do the city tour of Polonnaruwa by bicycles.) Polonnaruwa a UNESCO World Heritage site, rose to fame as the capital after the decline of Anuradhapura. Its period of greatness was from the 10th - 12th centuries AD. The entire landscape of the region is punctuated by huge man- made reservoirs, veritable inland seas the most famous of which is the Prakrama Samudra or the Sea of Parakrama, larger in size than the Colombo harbor. The monuments of this medieval city are relatively well preserved and give clear evidence of the glory of Sri Lanka's past. See the Royal Palace complex, the Quadrangle with its concentration of ancient heritage and the spectacular Gal Vihare complex of four massive images of the Buddha, cut from a single slab of granite – a highlight of ancient Sri Lankan rock carving. Día 4. HABARANA / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY After breakfast leave for kandy via Dambulla visiting the Rock temple, a space garden and a batik factory enroute. This vihara known in ancient times as the Jambukolena vihara is situated on top of the rock of Dambulla, Here are cave inscriptions of the 2nd century BC. Inside several dripledges caves here image houses have been constructed. The structures here have been renovated by Vijayabanduhu ( 1055 – 1110 AD ). According to an inscription on Nissanka Malla at the site that king has gilded the statues here and named the site the Rangiri Dambulla. King kirtsiri Rajasinha of kandy effected the last renovation here. Inside the Vihara are many seated, standing and recumbent Buddha statues and of gods. On the walls of the image house are paintings. Most of the images and belong to the kandy period. After lunch visit a Batik workshop to watch Sri Lankan girls at the complicated and time consuming home industry of hand made batik. P.M. city tour of Kandy including a visit to the temple of the tooth, upperlake drive and market square. Late evening witness a cultural show. Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth Relic) Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy is the most venerated place of worship for Buddhists throughout the world. Built in the 16th century this temple houses the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha brought to Sri Lanka from the Kalinga province in ancient India in the 4th century AD. Several buildings have been added to the temple complex by successive rulers, the latest being the Golden Canopy over the inner shrine where the Tooth Relic is placed. Originally the Temple was within the King's palace complex as it was the symbol of Royal Authority. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Día 5. KANDY / PERADENIYA /PINNAWELLA / KANDY (Kandy / Peradeniya 05 km’s - 05 minits drive / Peradeniya / Pinnawela 40 km’s - 45 – 01 houre drive) After breakfast city of Kandy including visit botanical Garden in Peradeniya. About 64 km southwest of the town center at Peradeniya on the Colombo highway, close to the banks of the Mahaweli Ganga, these gorgeous gardens were first planted and laid out for King Kirthi Sri Rajasingha (1747 – 1780) and cover some 60 ha (150 acres) of trees, lawns and flowering shrubs, including a 20 ha (50 acre) arboretum of more than 10,000 trees. Under British rule, the royal park became a botanical garden in 1821 and is the largest of Sri Lanka’s three main botanical gardens. Here exotic crops such as coffee, tea, nutmeg, rubber and cinchona (quinine) – all of which later became important to Sri Lanka’s economy – were tested. Sights include a palm avenue planted by the British in 1905. Another British import was the enormous spreading Java fig, which sprawls across the lawn, grown from a sapling brought from East Indies. The garden also have stands of towering bamboos from Burma, Japan, China, and the East Indies, and a fine collection of orchids from Sri Lanka and further afield.In the center of the gardens is an artificial lake in the shape of the island of Sri Lanka, beside which a white-domed rotunda commemorates George Gardner, superintendent of the gardens in the mid 19th century. The royal botanical gardens are worth a visit, and are open daily from 07:30 until 17:00 hrs Thereafter breakfast proceed to Pinnawala. The Elephant Orphanage, located on the banks of the Maha Oya, is mainly to house young elephants who find themselves displaced and lost from their natural habitats for various reasons - environmental changes due to development projects, being abandoned by their parents when they fall into pits & ravines, etc. The most interesting times to visit is at feeding or bathing time. Lunch at Elephant Bay Restaurant – Pinnawela Return to Hotel Dinner & Overnight The Chaaya Citadel.

Día 6. KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA (85 Km, 03 Hours drive) After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya visiting a tea Plantation and factory en route. Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lankan hill country. It is the home of the famous Ceylon Tea and the rolling mountains are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. The salubrious climate, misty glens and the decidedly British character make Nuwara Eliya a must on any Sri Lankan travel itinerary. P.M. sightseeing of Nuwara Eliya. Dinner & overnight at Galway forest Lodge.

DAY 07 NUWARA ELIYA / KITULGALA / COLOMBO (Nuwara Eliya / Colombo – 185 km ( 03 hours drive) / Nuwara Eliya / Kitulgala 85 km - 03 hour’s / Kitulgala / Colombo 100 km – 02 ½ hour’s) After breakfast leave for Colombo via Kitulgala the Famous Film location site “ Bridge on the river Kwai “ The film location of "The Bridge over the River Kwai" Remember the film "The Bridge over the River Kwai", it is here the bridge for the film set was built. The beautiful tributary of the Kelani River, over which the bridge was built is still attracting fans to the town. Other attractions include Keleni Forest Reserve a bird watching location, white water rafting and trekking. This quite town probably had not changed since the days of the filming on 1950s. Kithulgala is about 100Km from Colombo on the main route to Nuwara Eliya via Hatton. The Rest House managed by the Hotel Coporation has been in existence since the filming days and for those want to spend a couple of nights there are new guest houses built recently for the growing number of visitors houses to the town Lunch at Plantation restaurant, Kitulgala. Sri Lanka's capital upto recent times,Colombo is a fascinating city with a cozy mixture of the past and present. It is still the commercial centre of the country. The original trading settlers - the Portuguese, Dutch and the British have all left in their wake churches and monuments, names and religions, costumes and food and smatterings of their languages which have been absorbed into the speech of the Sri Lankan. While in Colombo attractions worth seeing are: - Buddhists temples, Hindu temples, Mosques, Christian churches, Parks, Zoo, Museums and Art Galleries. Dinner & Overnight Colombo Plaza – Colombo.

Día 8. COLOMBO / MALE / ATOLÓN MALDIVAS Después del desayuno, traslado al aeropuerto para coger el vuelo con destino Male (Maldivas). Llegada, asistencia y traslado al atolón donde se encuentre el hotel escogido. Alojamiento en hotel de Maldivas.

Día 9. MALDIVAS Días libres en Maldivas. Posibilidad de realizar actividades opcionales.
