Rivalling events such as ’s iconic Spring Racing Carnival, with enclosures such as the Nursery or the Birdcage, the Village Green during the Test match is now one of the highlights on Adelaide’s social calendar. In 2016 the Village Green will play host to some iconic marquees and a diverse range of popup bars and food vendors such as the PIMMS tent, celebrity chef Po’s ‘Jamface’, Burger Theory and live DJ entertainment post-play.

FASHIONS ON THE GREEN The South Australian Cricket Association will be debuting a “Fashions on the Green” feature at the Commonwealth Bank Test Series this summer in the popular Village Green in the SACA Members’ Enclosure. It will take place on the third day of the Test, Saturday 26th November 2016. The Fashions on the Green will replicate the popular Fashions on the Field format typically seen at horse race events, with the judges panel Adelaide Confi dential Journalist Antimo Iannella and a representative from SACA. Weather reporter Amelia Mulcahy will host the spectacle as MC. Winners of the male and female best dressed will both receive two tickets to Adelaide’s hottest New Year’s Eve event - the Adelaide Strikers New Year’s Eve After Party. Second prize will be a magnum of wine and third prize a food and beverage voucher for use in the Village Green during the 2016 Australia vs South Africa Commonwealth Bank Day/Night Test. The Village Green will also debut a “makeup bar” where members can have their sunscreen and makeup refreshed by a qualifi ed makeup artist.
