Global Medical Brigades - Penn State University in Panama and Nicaragua Kristen Gumpf March 2013 I obtained feedback from Penn State University’s Global Medical Brigade’s trips over spring break 2013 from Panama and Nicaragua! I am also attaching pictures from both trips. Thank you, BBF, so much for everything! Your donations really make a difference. The Panama brigade saw about 400 patients in three days of clinic with the help of two physicians from Hershey Medical School. The internal medicine and pediatrics doctors as well as a physician assistant were a great help. They were in the community of El Tirao, which has a Ladino population. Each day the group had individuals from the medical brigade break off and join local public health officials for a day of work in the community of Wagandi, which has an indigenous population. Nicaragua was great! The group had 38 students and one cardiologist. They saw 575 patients during three days of clinic. They spent two days in Suní and one day in El Hatillo. The group also built latrines, showers, septic tanks and ovens, and installed concrete floors for three days for the public health portion of the trip. Global Medical Brigades - San Jose State University in Ghana Crystal Picanco March 2013 On behalf of myself and San Jose State University’s Global Medical Brigades I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the medication you donated to our brigade to Ghana. If it were not for your generosity and kind hearts we would not have been able to make our trip a success. With your help we were able to treat over 600 patients as well as provided public health services to many more. Our experience cannot be described in words but it’s is an amazing feeling in our hearts that we will never forget. The country of Ghana welcomed us with open arms and was very kind and generous to us. The patients we treated could not have been more grateful to us and to Brother’s Brother Foundation that helped provide medical care they need and deserve. I have attached some photos from our trip and I hope you enjoy them as much as we have. Again, we thank everyone at Brother’s Brother Foundation who made this trip possible; it’s people like you that help us take the steps necessary to change the world.

Sincerely, SJSU Global Medical Brigades
