Aviation Department Traffic Statistics: J. Quayson, J. Cuneo, D.Mesa With a 2.3% YTD June capacity gain, passenger traffic at EWR grew 4.3%. YTD June domestic traffic grew a strong 7.2%, benefiting from capacity expansion by Southwest and United, who contributed a net of more than 300,000 each. JetBlue also added a net of 97,000 passengers. International traffic registered its third THE PORT AUTHORITY OF NY & NJ consecutive decline, pushing YTD June traffic down 1.2%. The international traffic decline is attributable to JUNE 2012 TRAFFIC REPORT the absence of Eva, Air France (who recently consolidated at JFK), Iceland Express and the temporary suspension of Air India, and 45% passenger decline from Alitalia. Cargo continued to remain weak as the YTD June level fell 10.3%.
