ANNUAL 2019 REPORT WWW.FACTSET.COM Driving the investment community to see more, think bigger, and do their best work. BUILDING UPON OUR WINNING STRATEGY OF INVESTING FOR GROWTH. Dear Stockholders, I am proud of our team for delivering solid growth in fiscal year 2019 in the midst of a shifting environment. Our consistent execution is grounded in our proven ability to innovate and pivot when necessary, focusing our investments on our content, technology, and people. In fiscal 2019, we continued our impressive trajectory of 39 consecutive years of top-line growth, 23 consecutive years of adjusted diluted EPS growth, and 14 consecutive years of dividend increases. We exercised prudent discretionary expense management, increased workforce productivity, and made important operational improvements to enhance our infrastructure, resulting in improved operating margins. And we successfully launched a number of new products that have garnered excitement and momentum as we head into 2020. FactSet grew globally across its regions of Americas, EMEA, and AsiaPac, with AsiaPac continuing to increase by double-digits in 2019. Our performance in 2019 saw year-over- year growth in all four of our workflow solutions: Analytics, Research, Content & Technology Solutions (CTS), and Wealth. Growth in Analytics was driven by our flagship portfolio analytics suite and our enterprise risk solutions, and we are encouraged by the ramp-up of newer products such as our APIs and Portfolio Management Platform. In Research, we launched our U.S. banks, deep sector content—the first of many in our deep sector content strategy —and expanded datasets within the workstation. 39 23 14 Consecutive years of Consecutive years Consecutive years of top-line growth of adjusted diluted dividend increases EPS growth 2019 ANNUAL REPORT | 01 Our Lines of Business and Global Segments WEALTH: $151M (10% OF ASV) GROWTH RATE: 10% CTS: $170M (12% OF ASV) GROWTH RATE: 15% ORGANIC GROWTH RATE 5.1% 1.

  • 2016 Annual Report
Corporate Annual Report FactSet Research Systems Inc. Our mission is to solve our clients’ greatest challenges with the power of collaboration. Just over a year ago it was my honor to succeed Phil Hadley as the CEO of FactSet. In that year, I have taken a hard look at our capabilities, our people, and our potential. This review has cemented my belief that FactSet is uniquely positioned to emerge as a leading technology partner for our clients. Our 2016 goals strengthened our foundations, and our 2017 strategy will reflect that optimism and aspiration. Corporate Annual Report +8.8% +11.5% ASV GROWTH ADJUSTED EPS GROWTH “BEST OVERALL PROVIDER” by Inside Market Data “BEST RESEARCH + ANALYTICS TOOL” by Waters Technology “BEST ANALYTICS “BEST RESEARCH PROVIDER” PROVIDER” by Inside Market Data by Inside Market Data was another year in which FactSet’s commitment to customer-centric service, superior technology, and best-in-class data + analytics enabled us to build market share. Corporate Annual Report ASV, our Annual Subscription Value, grew 8.8% organically. Growth drivers included our traditional workstation business, which added more than 3,450 net new users. Our platform-enhancing Analytics suite experienced strong growth. Further client growth was propelled by solutions that extended beyond our core workstation, including our Content and Technology Solutions, Research Management Solutions, and Portware businesses. Investing in our future, while returning earnings today One of the ongoing tensions all companies experience is balancing investment in the business for long-term growth against consistent shareholder return. As I reflect on 2016, this may well be what I am most proud of – we met the challenge of investing in our company and our people to scale for present and future growth while continuing to provide value to our shareholders.
