FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Friday, 10th October, 2014 Football Queensland Announces Women’s NPL Clubs for 2015 Twelve (12) clubs will compete in the inaugural PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Senior Women’s competition due to commence in 2015, Football Queensland confirmed today. A total 22 (twenty‐two) Expressions of Interest and 15 (fifteen) Formal Applications were received from clubs in South‐East Queensland in the application process. The selected clubs cover a range of major population centres in South‐East Queensland, including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redcliffe, Redlands, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. The PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Senior Women’s competition is the elite club competition for women’s football in Queensland, sitting one tier below the Westfield W‐League. Each club serves as the elite player pathway for player development in defined catchment areas.
