Yvette Hartsfi eld and Deputy Commission Steve Sansone joined almost 1,000 parents, children and families who enjoyed a great day of fun, topped off by face painting by Sha-Sha the Clown. Special thanks was extended to Chris Palandra, a retired Yonkers police of- fi cer who for the past 37 years has been running the egg hunt for PAL – to perfec- tion. He has purchased more than 40,000 eggs over the decades, and parents who, as kids, ran across Redmond Field to fi nd an egg, are now bringing their children to the event. Thanks was also extended to Lisa McKay from the Yonkers Parks and Rec- reation Department, who assisted PAL in the egg hunt.
