Gurode is entering his eighth season with the Cowboys. “I wouldn’t say it felt like yesterday,” said Gurode, a second round pick in 2002 after Roy Williams and before Antonio Bryant, “but it felt like I just came here a few years ago. I couldn’t imagine going through the stuff I’ve been through and the years and just all of the things it took to get to this point. It’s like, ‘Wow, it’s really been a journey.’” Gurode was Adams’ teammate for eight years, who was once Michael Irvin’s teammate, who played with Everson Walls, who was a Cowboy with Harvey Martin, who played defensive line with Bob Lilly, the Cowboys’ first draft pick in 1961, who came a year after Eddie LeBaron was the quarterback for an 0-11-1 team in the franchise’s first year.

OFFENSE: QB TONY ROMO, DALLAS COWBOYS • Taking center stage on Thanksgiving, Romo completed 22 of 29 passes (75.9 percent) for 306 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions for a 148.9 passer rating in the Cowboys’ 38-10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Romo’s five touchdown passes tied the franchise single-game record and he became the sixth Dallas quarterback to accomplish the feat. The last Cowboy to throw five touchdowns in a game was Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback TROY AIKMAN in 1999. The former Eastern Illinois star connected with wide receiver TERRY GLENN in the first quarter on a 30-yard scoring strike. Just five games into his NFL career, Gurley is already making his mark in the NFL’s record book. “Todd is a special player,” says Rams general manager LES SNEAD, who drafted Gurley with the 10th overall pick. Since making his first career start in Week 4 at Arizona, Gurley has registered at least 125 rushing yards in four consecutive games.
