Driving Directions to Skyland Equine at Skyland Camp for Girls
Through Skyland’s UPPER GATE:
To access Skyland’s UPPER Gate, do NOT use Skyland’s main address. Instead, use 30 Bunny Court as the GPS address to get you to the cul-de-sac where you’ll enter camp. (You will not actually enter the 30 Bunny Court property!)
GPS devices may not direct you all the way to Skyland’s property, so these turn- by-turn directions will help.
Camp is easily accessed off of interstate I-40, just 25 miles west of Asheville, NC.
From I-40, take Exit 27 following signs to Clyde (Hwy 19/23).
From there, take the Clyde exit, Exit 106, and then:
• At the first stoplight, turn left on Morgan Street
• Continue to the dead-end and turn right on to Broad Street
• Take the first left on to Charles Street and cross the river.
• At the stop sign, cross Thickety and enter Mountain Oaks subdivision.
• Follow the winding road up to the top until it dead-ends in to a cul-de-sac.
• You’ll see three options: House on the left, house straight ahead, and a hairpin turn to your right down a gravel road.
• Take the hairpin turn to your right down a gravel road. You will be on Skyland’s property.
• At the bottom of the hill, you’ll see the tennis courts on your left. Turn left JUST after the tennis courts, and park in the grassy area on your immediate right.
You have arrived!! A Skyland representative will greet you there and will guide you to the starting location.

The physical address for Skyland is 317 Spencer Street in Clyde, NC. GPS devices may not direct you all the way to Skyland’s property.
Camp is easily accessed off of interstate I-40, just 25 miles west of Asheville, NC.
From I-40, take Exit 27 following signs to Clyde (Hwy 19/23).
From there, take the Clyde exit, Exit 106, and then:
• At the first stoplight, turn left on Morgan Street
• Continue to the dead-end and turn right on to Broad Street
• Take the first left on to Charles Street and cross the river.
• Take the first right on to Thickety
• Take the first left onto Spencer Street.
Follow Spencer Street until it “dead-ends” at the A-frame house and stay RIGHT on Spencer Street.
Clyde Park will be on your right. Stay to the right and drive past the Clyde Park entrance and up the hill that becomes a gravel road. This is the driveway to Skyland Camp for Girls.
You will see the main building of camp on your left. A large brown building, now Skyland’s main lodge, was once a Victorian-era hotel.
Drive past that, and past several small cabins until you see the tennis courts on your right. Turn right JUST before the tennis courts, and park in the grassy area on your immediate right.
