TAD O’HAD | ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH

YAKIMA, WA | 6TH SEASON

O’Had enters his sixth season with the Everblades, and third as Associate Head Coach, a title he received in July of 2016. In his current po- sition, O’Had plays a large role in the team’s defense, position specific skills, recruiting, penalty kill and strength & conditioning efforts. He served as an assistant coach in his first three seasons with the organization.

Previously, O’Had served as head coach and general manager of the Florida Jr. Blades, operating in that role for three seasons. Under O’Had’s direction, the Jr. Blades consistently dominated, making two appearances at USA Hockey Nationals and capturing a pair of regular season league titles. His guided the Jr. Blades to an eye-opening 112-19-8 record in his tenure. O’Had continues as General Manager with the Jr. Blades and helped lead them to a USPHL National Championship in 2017.

To call the Yakima, Washington native seasoned is an understatement. O’Had involved himself in hockey growing up and playing in the Tri-Cities where he found himself drawn to the defensive side of the sport. He went on to play hockey for Millbrook Prep School in Upstate New York for three years. After graduating from Millbrook, O’Had went on to play junior hockey in the North and Ontario Provincial Hockey League with the Capital Centre Pride and the Port Huron Clippers, respectively.

While pursuing a higher education, O’Had attended Connecticut College in New London, CT where he was named captain for three out of his four years at the school. He became one of the founders of BlueStreak Sports Training, deemed to be one of most prestigious sports training facilities in the U.S. Also, O’Had continued on to be the co-founder for Hybrid Hockey, a recruitment and exposure service that pre- pares players who are looking to expose themselves at the collegiate level. In 2009 Tad was granted the opportunity to work in Russia with their Olympic development program where he co-founded several training programs.

For six years, O’Had served as the Vice President of Hockey for Athletic Republic Headquarters. He is also a certified Master trainer for Athletic Republic, along with being a Sports Potential, Sport-Quest and SPARQ trainer. O’Had was awarded the Dick Vraa Award for his contribution to the Athletic Republic Network. He has achieved decades of awards and achievements in only a few years, and his hard work and dedication has led him to direct teams and hockey schools in Ontario, Alberta, Minnesota, Michigan, New York and Connecticut. In the past 10 years, 35 players he has trained have been selected in the NHL Entry Draft. In 2017, Tad was named Gulfshore Business Magazine Top 40 Under 40, a prestigious distinction reserved for the most influential business leaders under the age of 40 in Southwest Florida.

JOSH ROBINSON | GOALTENDING & VIDEO COACH

FRANKENMUTH, MI | 2ND SEASON

Josh Robinson is in his second season with the Everblades as the Video & Goaltending Coach and brings a wealth of knowledge of hockey and the goaltender position to his role with the organization.

His primary responsibilities with the Everblades are working with and developing the ‘Blades goaltenders and overseeing all video scouting and analysis efforts.

Prior to joining the Everblades coaching staff, Robinson had a successful career as a goaltender in the ECHL and American Hockey League (AHL). Robinson amassed an 88-46-5-8 record, with seven shutouts, a 2.88 goals-against-average and a 0.915 save percentage in 150 ECHL games split between the Missouri Mavericks and Idaho Steelheads from 2012-17.

Robinson shined during the 2015-16 season with Missouri, earning ECHL Goaltender of the Year honors after posting an impressive 28-2-1 record with a 1.88 goals-against-average and a .0.931 save percentage. Robinson set an ECHL record with a 21-game individual win streak during that season from Nov. 4, 2015 through February 14, 2016.
