Temporary Closure of Yeovil Marsh Road
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Yeovil Marsh Road from 10 metres west of the junction with Orchard Close to 20 metres west of the junction with Chapel Lane a distance of 250 metres.
This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out drainage works in this road.
The Order becomes effective on 07 July 2014 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 26 days. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
From the eastern end of the closure proceed in south easterly and north easterly directions along Yeovil Marsh Road to the junction with Stone Lane. Turn right and proceed in a southerly direction along Stone Lane to the junction with Combe Street Lane. Turn right and proceed in a westerly direction along Combe Street Lane to the junction with the A37. Turn right and proceed in a north westerly direction along the A37 to the junction with Yeovil Marsh Road. Turn right and proceed in a south easterly direction along Yeovil Marsh Road to the western end of the closure, and vice versa.
