Minor Basilica is the oldest building in the city. It is an invaluable monument representing the Baroque style. The first mention of the wooden church dates back to 1414. Between 1558 and1630 it was the Protestant temple. The brick church from the beginning of the 16th century was burnt down by the Swedes during the Northern War. It was rebuilt as a Catholic church by Jan Dobrogost Krasiński in 1703-1711 according to the plans of Tylman of Gameren. Inside the temple is an amazing painting "Dance of Death" from 17th century and beautiful frescos by Michelangelo Palloni. In the vestry of the Basilica Minor is a mirror of the famous magician Twardowski. It is a mirror from the second half of the 16th century, in which the spirit of Barbara Radziwiłłówna, wife of Zygmunt August, was to be evoked. The mirror is cracked because it was probably dropped by the emperor Napoleon, when the mirror showed the defeat of his army during the trip to in 1812.

St.Peter`s from Alcantara and St. Anthony`s from Padua Church and the Monastery of the Order of Reformati consists of the monastery and church of St. Peter of Alkantara and St. Anthony of Padua, this is a late Baroque building. The Order of Reform Fathers was brought to Węgrów by Jan Kazimierz Krasiński in 1669-72. The Foundation was completed by his son Jan Dobrogost Krasiński. The Baroque church was designed by Tylman of Gameren, and the construction work was led by Carlo Ceroni. Inside the church you can admire the frescos of Michelangelo Palloni. In the main altar there is a magnificent sculpture of the Crucified Christ by Andrzej Schlüter.

Gdańsk House - a former inn from 18th century located at St. Mary's Square. It is a baroque building with a wavy gable built in the middle of the 18th century. His name derives from Gdańsk merchants, who maintained their commercial invoice at the time when Węgrów was a trade hub connecting routes from four corners of the Republic of . At present, it is a library, which is worth visiting due to the regional museum presenting folk culture of the area around Węgrów. In the cellars of the Gdańsk House there are a temporary exhibition gallery and the place of meetings with writers as well as vernissages.

Cemetery Chapel - is located in the former Protestant district of the Evangelical Cemetery. According to legend the wooden larch church of 1679 was built in one night. In the cemetery you can see historic tombstones of the Scots, which were brought to Węgrów by Bogusław Radziwiłł.

Evangelical-Augsburg Church - located in the former Protestant district. Built in 1837 in the classicist style. In the presbytery there is a wooden altar with an oil painting "Christ in the Garden" from 1860. The organs on the choir are one of the most valuable monuments in this category in Poland.

The monument on the 1863 insurgents' grave is a huge erratic boulder attracted from nearby Szaruty in 1917. The monument is located by the road -Węgrów in the place of the battle near Węgrów, which took place during the January Uprising on February 3, 1863
