Situated in the Marche region, in Central Italy, facing the Adriatic Sea, this beautiful estate has been in the degli Azzoni family since the beginning of the 14th century. It spreads on 850 hectares, on the southwest hillside of Montefano, a most picturesque village on top of ! rolling hills, winding narrow streets and old stucco buildings. The whole property is agriculturally cultivated with wheat, maize, barley, many other vegetables and aromatic plants, such as basil (the largest producer in Italy) and parsley. It also counts over 100 hectares of vineyards, planted mainly with Sangiovese, , Grechetto, , Lacrima, Maceratino and other international such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc.

The 2 brothers, Valperto and Filippo degli Azzoni, run their families trusted business with the help of over 50 dedicated workers. Their aim is to produce delicious-affordable that bring the character of the land t each bottle.

Degli Azzoni’s Grechetto twinkles in the glass; bright straw yellow with light greenish 100% Grechetto reflexions. It’s an easy to drink yet Stainless steel complex at the same time. Degli Azzoni’s Rosso Piceno is a smashing blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Montepulciano 70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese marry well with the more expressive, earthen and rustic flavors of Sangiovese. This racy little wine Stainless steel and a perfect Monday wine. Ruby red in color with 13.5 % alcohol reflections of violet; it’s easy and very 12/750 ml. approachable. The nose has hints of sweet spices 1,500 cases produced like vanilla and ripe red berries. The taste follows suit. Rosso Piceno is well balanced and persistent- firm, but not aggressive.

Montepulciano is the work horse of Italian . Praised for it’s relative easiness in the field, it produces deep ruby red wines with bright aromas and flavors of black cherry, dried flowers and spice. Passatempo originates from old vines of Montepulciano, from a single vineyard of 50-60 years, that reached with time a perfect balance and unusual strength, major characters of this beautiful wine.A full complex, round, plummy and weighty red with moderate acidity and low tannins.
