British Physics Olympiad A LEVEL & GCSE RESULTS Alex Lloyd Commendation 100% pass rate at A Level and GCSE. Hannah Smith Commendation 84% of all A Level passes were achieved at grades A*/A and B. Harry Collini Commendation 58% of all A Level passes were achieved at grades A* and A. Richard Brown Commendation 52 students each claimed 3 A*/A grades leading the School to a 100% A Level Pass Rate for the 8th year in succession. Jonathan Clark Commendation

88% of pupils were awarded places at their first or second choice Nicholas Clay Commendation universities. Over 1,800 students competed in this national competition. At GCSE the School achieved 77% of all grades at A*/A; this is a record for the school. The average number of passes per pupil was 10 and 22 pupils Lucy Allen was invited to attend a Physics Summer School at Cambridge achieved 8 A* grades or better. Athletics It was yet another great season for Hockey at Solihull School for both boys and girls. The boys were crowned County Champions at U14 It was a particularly successful season with some notable individual and level whilst being runners-up at U12 and 1st XI levels. The U12 XI were team victories. Both the Inter Girls and Junior Girls Teams were Midlands also Midland Regional runners-up following a day of physically demanding ‘B’ finalists in the English Schools’ Track and Field Cup following some matches. Domestically the Senior XI’s were relatively successful and the excellent victories. In the Christmas Term, more than 40 Lower School pupils took part in a Solihull Sings! Outreach programme featuring Chapel Fields, Greswold, Kineton Green, St. Alphege, Ulverley, St. Augustine’s, Lapworth and Solihull production of Homer’s Odyssey adapted by David Calcutt. Cerys Stansfield School Junior Schools was excellent in the lead role of Odysseus who, with his trusted band of sailors, battles his way home from the ravages of the Trojan War. The Saxophone Quartet (Charlotte Beesley, William Hughes, Ben Perrins, Alanna production used projection to create the world of the gods and clever Wall): chosen to appear with Britain’s Got Talent star, Julian Smith at lighting to create a variety of mythical locations.
