had a three in his first 21 games as a Racer, but had an 0-of-5 at home against Southeast Missouri on Feb. 26, 2017. He has started this season with a streak in the first eight games, but had his 18-game run halted OOVCVC AACTIVECTIVE LLEADERSEADERS against Marist when he went 0-4. The MSU record is 40 by Isaiah Canaan during the 2012-13 season (As Of Feb. 19) this season include home games against Jacksonville State (Feb. 15) with 32 and Tennessee Tech (Feb. 17) POINTS SCORED with 30. 1533 Nick Mayo, Eastern Kentucky 1337 Malcolm Drumwright, Jacksonville State  Ja Morant makes a run at a triple-double seems like every game. His triple-double at home against 1307 Jonathan Stark, Murray State Eastern Illinois (Dec. 28) was only the second triple-double at Murray State in records that date back to 1301 Aleksa Jugovic, Tennessee Tech 1984. 1286 Amanze Egekeze, Belmont 1054 Denzel Mahoney, Southeast Missouri 1009 Terrell Lewis, Eastern Illinois Ja Morant has certainly made a splash in his first season with Murray State. On top of his obvious 999 Jalen Henry, SIUE talents at the point guard position, his ability to rebound has been a surprise. Morant had 12 rebounds at 938 Matthew Butler, UT Martin Saint Louis (Dec. 12). There have been plenty of freshman forwards to get 10 or more in game against an 928 Terrell Miller, Murray State NCAA D-I team. However, Morant was the first Racer freshman guard to get 10-plus since 1980 when Glen 918 Dylan Windler, Belmont Green pulled down 12 rebounds against Austin Peay. 883 Darreon Reddick, Tennessee State

Ja Morant’s 13-straight free throws at the start of the season matched the start that the great Jeffery REBOUNDS Moss did as a freshman in 2012. 601 Dylan Windler, Belmont 577 Christian Cunningham, Jacksonville State Ja Morant’s 14 assists in the EIU game (Dec. 28) tied for third all-time at Murray State in records that 561 Amanze Egekeze, Belmont date back to 1984. His game also sets the record for the 20 seasons at the CFSB Center surpassing the 12 546 Nick Mayo, Eastern Kentucky assists Aubrey Reese had for the Racers against Alabama State in 1999. 497 Keenan Simmons, SIUE 482 Jalen Henry, SIUE The Racers held EIU (Dec. 28) to .286 from the field on 18-of-63 shots. The last time MSU held an 477 Terrell Miller, Murray State NCAA D-I opponent under 30 percent was at Georgia on Nov. 20, 2015 when the Bulldogs were 17-of-57 for a percentage of .298. They’ve been there 371 Malcolm Drumwright, Jacksonville State since. 285 Aleksa Jugovic, Tennessee Tech 280 Jonathan Stark, Murray State Miller’s perfect game from the field in the Marist game makes him part of a group of only six MSU 217 Matthew Butler, UT Martin players that have gone 8-of-8 or better since 1998. The last to do it was Jarvis Williams against Yale in the CollegeInsider Tournament title game in 2014. Cuthbert Victor and James Singleton had 10-of-10 shooting STEALS games in 2001 and 2003. 110 Terrell Lewis, Eastern Illinois 95 Aleksa Jugovic, Tennessee Tech The Racers’ 6-1 start was the best in Coach Matt McMahon’s three seasons with the Racers and it was the 88 Mason Ramsey, Tennessee Tech best since the 2013-14 team that started 9-1 during Isaiah Canaan and Ed Daniel’s senior season. 85 Austin Luke, Belmont 83 Jonathan Stark, Murray State The Racers’ 19-point win (Nov. 18) at Wright State was the largest margin of victory on the road in the 81 Malcolm Drumwright, Jacksonville State Coach McMahon era (80-61 in non-conference games. 79 Armani Chaney, Tennessee State 76 Dylan Windler, Belmont 74 Curtis Phillips, Tennessee Tech  Murray State men’s basketball coach Matt McMahon announced the signing of 6-2 guard DaQuan Smith, out of Holly Springs High School in Holly Springs, Mississippi. To make the weekend even more special, the Racers 205 Amanze Egekeze, Belmont surprised Canaan by retiring his jersey No. 3. It was one of the many memorable moments to occur in 204 Jonathan Stark, Murray State the 20 years of the CFSB Center as the 6,495 came to its feet to cheer and thank Canaan. He stayed long 174 Malcolm Drumwright, Jacksonville State after the Racers defeated Tech for pictures and autographs and to just soak up this special night.
