Nat West Six Nations Championship England ‘s fifth place in the Six Nations Championship was particularly disappointing having been somewhat favourites perhaps along with Ireland to win the title. The review and reflection of the poor results has already started. CEO Report - Steve Brown • RFU have agreed terms with Eddie Jones with his contract extended to August 2021. • Sue Day has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer. • PRL/RPA and RFU have been working together to finalize the domestic season schedule. • Ernst Young have been meeting with all Championship stakeholders –report to follow. • Tyrell’s Premier 15s has been a great success and already we are seeing the development of a stronger/deeper pool of potential international players (7s and 15s). • National Rugby Survey has now completed. SRU, WRU and IRFU have bought into the same NRS. A useful exercise for comparison between the four Home Nations • Artificial Grass Pitches – 7 Rugby Turf and 2 Rugby Share pitches are now fully operational. • Community 7’s Offer- XRugby rules are now in World Rugby law books. -

The London Wildlife Trust was awarded £3,870 through the Council’s Civic Pride Fund and £4,228 from The Community Fund to help make the Crane Park Island Trail more accessible to children and those with disabilities. With the help of the Council, the Trust installed numbered oak posts each fitted with etched zinc plaque that depicts the varied wildlife and history of Crane Park Island. Children and adults can use the plaques to create rubbings. There is also a colourful and informative site map, and a quiz for families to take when visiting. Work begins to repair Hammersmith Bridge The Leader of Richmond Council welcomes news that work will begin to repair Hammersmith Bridge. Following detailed investigation by a team of world-leading specialist engineers, Transport for London and Hammersmith & Fulham Council have agreed the works needed to repair Hammersmith Bridge. -

Of the four British victims, two were from Twickenham. Seventeen year old Arad Zarei was born in Twickenham and had attended St Mary’s Primary School and Orleans Park School, although he had moved to Canada to live with his father. The Council launched a consultation in response to complaints from pedestrians about hazardous parked vehicles in the popular beauty spot, visited by hundreds of people every day. The feedback was clear and the RPZ will be implemented to keep the Riverside clear of vehicles. Loading and unloading vehicles (including deliveries) will be permitted between 7 and 10am every day to support businesses and residential properties that require access onto the Riverside solely for this purpose.
