Students in the DCMS Power Club are working hard to develop all muscle groups. They do strength training with weights and aerobic activities. The kids rotate through several stations which have different activities including the WEEKLY CALENDAR medicine ball, preacher curls, resistance bands, squats, and butterfly curls, to name a few. xxx Members get a Tshirt for joining the club and a pizza party at the end. The student who improves the most in pushups and curls wins a trophy. An overall champion is awarded a trophy for most pushups and highest curl weight. Each grade level has two trophies. The club is a preseason activity for wrestlers, and keeps other athletes in shape between sports seasons. There are many reasons kids join the Power Club. Mostly, they all want to get bigger, faster, and stronger.
