Fat Jockey Rides a BlundaBus through the heart of The

“What’s a BlundaBus?” I hear you ask… It’s a subversive double-decker of creativity and joy!

The double-decker venue that can pop up anywhere will kick off in South London in July. It will then carry Bob and his comic-anarchist team through the UK en route to the Fringe Festival. Via Leicester, Livestock Festival, York… The BlundaBus is a bar, venue and an all-encompassing experience that will pop up at Festivals, Breweries, your House – Anywhere it’s invited and Everywhere it’s not!

BLUNDABUS MISSION The Fringe is undergoing a positive revolution, and we enjoy our role as its mischievous pacesetters! We work with shows that enjoy amazing word-of-mouth success and organic growth. “At the heart of the Fringe is a beauty that money cannot buy…”

Let’s put aside any division and spread big dollops of creative love through the Fringe! Success at the Fringe is no longer directly related to the size of your budget. Independent shows are thriving. We’ve proved there is an alternative to the model that puts acts into debt. This has enabled performers to increasingly challenge the deals they are offered by venues, producers and promoters, which in turn is slowly leading to a positive change of culture throughout the Fringe. “We don't want to build a Fringe empire – we’re the happy merry pranksters on the edge…” - Bob Slayer

WHO IS BOB SLAYER? Award-winning trickster Bob Slayer is now in his 8th year as a performer and 5th year as an irreverent Fringe promoter. As a child all he wanted to be was a Jockey. A subject he explores in his eagerly awaited solo show about this unexpected past: Bob Slayer: Fat Jockey (11pm @ BlundaBus). He then became a tour manager of bands including: Bloodhound Gang, Snoop Dogg & Electric Eel Shock.

Bob then set up HEROES OF FRINGE in 2011 to answer one simple question: Q: “What would happen if performers were able to focus on creative freedom instead of competitive marketing?” A: “When Artists get to see the lion’s share of ticket income it removes financial stress and gives them a freedom to be themselves, to deliver original shows to happy punters. This leads to amazing word-of- mouth success and organic growth that large marketing budgets simply cannot buy.” Bob Slayer

HEROES AWARDS  Edinburgh Comedy Award – (Adrienne Truscott: Asking For It)  Award – (An unprecedented 5 times winner incl Bob Slayer!)  Award - Spirit of Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival (Bob Slayer & Becky Walker)  Barry Award for "Best Person" Edinburgh Fringe (Bob Slayer)  Multiple 4 and 5 star reviews across our shows

PAY WHAT YOU WANT At Fringe 2013, the independently operated pop-up Bob’s Bookshop venue introduced a model whereby punters could choose to either pre-pay full price for tickets or attend the show and “Pay What You Want” upon exit. No one was left empty-handed. Everyone felt warm and fuzzy.
