Inland Regional Center Team Ups with 66ers for Annual Fall Festival
Regional Center presents sports themed resource fair to connect individuals with developmental disabilities to valuable community resources.
(San Bernardino, CA.) – On November 19, Inland Regional Center (IRC) hosted a resource fair for IRC Consumers, individuals with developmental disabilities, who reside in the Inland Empire. This year IRC teamed up with the Inland Empire 66ers organization, who provided the venue for this highly anticipated annual event. More than 50 IRC service providers and community agencies hosted interactive, sports themed booths at San Manuel Stadium, home of Inland Empire 66ers baseball. The festival provided IRC families with important information about services and resources available in their local communities, all while providing an afternoon of fun, family-friendly activities.
More than 1,100 festival guests including IRC’s consumers, families, vendors and staff celebrated the warm autumn afternoon dressed in their favorite team gear at the sports themed event. Guests of all ages enjoyed the many highlights of the annual event, including face painting, balloon twisting, games, prizes, a live DJ, fun freebies, and much more!
The event was presented by Pathway, Inc. Supportive Living Services, with additional sponsorship from Molina Healthcare, People’s Care, Inland Empire Health Plan, and 24Hr HomeCare.
IRC’s Executive Director Lavinia Johnson said of the event “The Annual Fall Festival is a great time for the individuals we serve, their families and the community to interact in a fun and meaningful way. It is the largest annual event we coordinate and we believe it fills an important place in the hearts and minds of the consumers who attend.”
