Joint Admission Medical Program • Helps students achieve their dreams with guaranteed admission to one of the state’s ten medical schools •Offers financial and academic support to help them get there •Ensures they will excel JAMP was created by the Texas Legislature to support and encourage highly qualified, economically disadvantaged Texas resident students pursuing a medical education.

What is JAMP? Goal- Help Texas students become tomorrow’s medical professionals by providing: • Financial Support through undergraduate and medical school scholarships. • Mentoring and personal assistance to prepare students for medical school while attending college • Hands-on experience at medical schools through summer internships. • Guaranteed admission to Texas medical school if all program requirements are met.

Participating Medical Schools • Apply to College✓ • Take the SAT or ACT (must have scores not less than the average for the state of Texas)✓ • Meet with the JAMP Faculty Director (JFD): Each institution’s JFD will provide academic advising, ensure you meet all the application criteria, and assistance in applying to JAMP. • Contact your JFD, Dr. Jhenny Galan ([email protected]) before starting your JAMP application. • Apply for financial aid

How to join Early Admission Track Qualifications for Early Admission Track: • Be enrolled full time at a participating institution in your first semester of college • Must have completed 27 hours of college credit from high school (Dual Credit of Early College high school) • Must have completed two semesters of general chemistry with associated labs with a grade of C or better • Plan to graduate in 3 years • Meet all other JAMP criteria

How to join Regular Admission Track

Qualifications for Regular Admission: • Be enrolled full time at a participating institution in your second year of college • Complete at least 27 credits of college courses immediately following graduation from high school • Must have completed two semesters of General Chemistry with labs with a grade of C or better • Meet all other JAMP criteria
