  • 'SUPER SCALE' SATURN V 1/70Th the Size of the Real Rocket! a FLYING MODEL ROCKET KIT
'SUPER SCALE' SATURN V 1/70th the size of the real rocket! A FLYING MODEL ROCKET KIT 3355 Fillmore Ridge Heights Colorado Springs, CO 80907-3514 USA Tel: 719-535-9335 Fax: 719-534-9050 Email: [email protected] This is a 1 /70th scale flying model rocket kit of the Saturn V. This is the vehicle that launched Apollo 11 that first placed man on the moon. You can build it as a real flying rocket, or just for display. Either way, you’ll end up with a fantastic model that you’ll be proud to show off to your freinds. Apogee Components also produces the Saturn 1B also at 1/70th scale. Both models are superbly detailed and offer the scale model rocket enthusiast chal- lenging and enjoyable construction. The instructions in this kit are unique. It is our goal to make the instructions entertaining and jam packed with tidbits of interesting information -- so that you’ll enjoy the building experience as well as launching the rocket. It is also our goal to teach you the important “techniques” required in building complex model rocket projects. You’ll learn a lot more by “watching” that you ever could by “reading.” So in the end, you’ll be better assured and more confident that you’ll complete this awesome project. This is a SKILL LEVEL 5 kit! This is the highest rating; indicating that this model is extremely challenging to build. Apogee Components recommends that you watch each video carefully; noting not only the methods shown, but also the techniques shown.

Winter 2003 Volume 7, Issue 4 Xavien XCET-1 Timer Airfix Saturn V PMC by Graham Platt by Darren J. Longhorn Model Achievement Programme Transolve P6K by Paul Lavin by Damian Burrin Power Line Safety Building Rockets for Safety by Mario Perdue by Tim Van Milligan The Road to Serbia. Construction Techniques by Genni Lavin by Leon Kemp Editorial I have recently discovered within myself a great deal of sympathy for the character of Gregor Samsa in the novella “Metamorphosis“. In this story Gregor awakens one morning to discover that during the night he has been transformed into some species of monstrous vermin – a bug to you and I… The sympathy stems from the similarities in our situations, only instead of trying to work out how to control six legs or where best to obtain rotten foodstuffs, I find myself plunged into the far scarier world of trying to publish a newsletter for a few hundred dedicated rocketry types! It seemed like such a good idea at the time. I distinctly remember thinking “Cool – I get to edit the newsletter”, but recently that has been replaced with various versions of Alan Shepherd’s “Please God, don’t let me screw this up…” To this end I need your help; if you have any thoughts or comments on this issue of 10… 9… 8... then please send them to me. If you have any ideas for future articles (or even better, actual articles!) then please send them to me. If you have any interesting photographs of anything rocket related… I don’t really need to finish that, do I? Such submissions should be roughly aimed towards [email protected].
