Redh awk Report

A chronicle of the excellence at Parsippany High School Vol. 9, Issue 1 “Back to School” – September 2018

Hello RedHawks

It’s sad to say, but summer is coming to an end. The good news is that we all get to return to Par High for a great 2018-19 school year (could that sound any more principal-ly?!). Nevertheless, good things have been happening over the summer; enjoy checking them out in our Back-to-School edition of the RedHawk Report… As always, if you did something amazing, and it isn’t included here, send me the information so we can celebrate your successes.

Enjoy this excerpt from the article “10 Tips for Incoming Freshmen in High School” that was written for the TeenInk.com, a website consisting of work written solely by teenagers.

1. Remember, you aren’t alone! Hundreds of other students are feeling the same way you do! 2. Don’t be afraid to make new friends. There are many people who share the same interests as you and are seeking those who share that interest. 3. Join an interesting club or sport. High school is the time to try new things, and luckily your school has so much to offer. 4. Your teachers are there to help you. High school teachers want to make sure you clearly understand the material… 5. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you aren’t comprehending the material, ask your teacher! 6. Upperclassmen really aren’t so bad. You can always go to one of them if you have a question about anything. Plus, they make pretty great friends. 7. Popularity means nothing… Just be you and make people accept you for who you are. 8. Doing the homework really benefits you. 9. The littlest things can get you into trouble. Make sure you are in-the-know about your school rules. 10. Have fun! High school is supposed to be one of your greatest moments in life. Live it and love it to the fullest everyday!
