CUBRIC, Cardiff University’s Brain Research Imaging Centre continues to pick up awards
The £44m centre in Cardiff was part-funded (£4.6m) by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government and is set to become one of Europe’s top facilities for brain imaging.
This investment is supporting innovation in world-class brain imaging research, including the creation of highly-skilled research jobs in Wales.

National Eisteddfod Gold Medal for Architecture Shortlist
The building is one of four projects shortlisted for this year’s Gold Medal at the National Eisteddfod.
The Gold Medal for Architecture recognises the importance of architecture in the nation's culture and celebrates the highest standards of architectural design in the country. Life Science Research Building Award
Earlier this year, CUBRIC won the Life Science Research Building Category at the 2017 S-Lab Awards, which recognise excellence in science buildings, equipment, facilities and management. RICS Wales Project of the Year award

It was also a runner up in the Buildings that Inspire category of the 2017 Guardian University Awards.
