Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance Joins Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association
Miami, Florida (April 3, 2017) – ALTA (the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association) today announced that Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has become the association’s newest affiliate member. ALTA’s affiliate members are airline-related organizations that work collaboratively with the association on aviation industry initiatives throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region.
“We are pleased to welcome Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance and their MRO services to ALTA’s growing affiliate membership,” said ALTA’s Executive Director Eduardo Iglesias. “We look forward to AFI KLM E&M working with our membership as together we continue to drive and grow air transport’s social and economic impact throughout the region and beyond.”
According to Air France KLM Engineering & Maintenance Executive Vice President Anne Brachet: “Along with our American subsidiary Barfield, we are delighted to join ALTA. Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance is a major multi-product MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) provider. With a workforce of over 14,000, AFI KLM E&M offers comprehensive technical support for airlines, ranging from engineering and line maintenance to engine overhaul, aero structure and FTR support, as well as the management, repair and supply of aircraft components, structured around a powerful logistics network. AFI KLM E&M supports almost 1,500 aircraft operated by 200 major international and domestic airlines.
