Agenda Item No.03-A(i) Consideration of Visit Reports under Accreditation Manual- 2007 (Level-I) [Accreditation/Re-accreditation, Confirmatory]

Electrical Re-accreditation is granted for two years Engineering i.e. Intake Batches Fall-2012 & Fall-2013 Current Status Accredited only. Visit Type Re-accreditation Date of Visit January 11-12, 2018 The house showed serious concern on the delayed submission for re-accreditation visit after graduating the intake batches 2012 and 2013 which is in nonconformance to the laid down PEC policy. The request from HEI is required to be submitted well in advance before the expiry of a particular batch (in 7th semester of the batch to be accredited). Therefore, a show cause notice is being issued to the HEI to submit response with justified reasons (within two weeks’ time after issuing this notification) causing such a long delay for more than one year. Such practice is not acceptable in future.

Next Re-accreditation visit request will be entertained subject to compliance on the following observations:

1. Addition of modules in Machine lab, up-gradation of Electrical Machine lab, and Control system lab.

2. Establishment of Measurements & Instrumentation lab.

The HEI is advised to strictly adhere to the PEC intake policies and regulations. Any

Current Status Under Process Visit Type Accreditation The university is also advised to adopt Date of Visit February 15-16, 2018 Outcome - Based Education (OBE) system in all engineering programs and submit the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) in subsequent accreditation/re- accreditation application, inline with Accreditation Manual – 2014 guidelines. The committee showed serious concern on continuous intake violations pertaining to student intake and DAEs admissions more than PEC allowed limit till year 2017. In this regard, a show cause notice is being issued to the HEI to submit response with justified reasons on the above violations within two weeks’ time after issuing of this notification. Such violation is liable to imposition of penalties as per Article-8 of PEC Regulations for Engineering Education.
