PRE-GAME REPORT Giants General Manager Scott Bonner has been busy over the past two days. The G-Men were part of a blockbuster trade on Tuesday as the club acquired 19-year-old forward Chase Lang and 19-year-old defenseman Ben Thomas from the Hitmen. Both Lang and Thomas have been drafted by NHL teams – Lang by the Minnesota Wild and Thomas by the . Earlier today, the Giants acquired overage forward Trevor Cox from the Medicine Hat Tigers. Cox finished second in league scoring with 109 points last season.

The Hurricanes are coming off a 4-3 shootout victory on Vancouver Island against the Victoria Royals on Tuesday night. The Lethbridge club has won seven games in a row and sits in second in the Central Division. 19-year-old forward Tyler Wong, who had the shootout winner in Victoria last night, sits in second in the league in goals with 13 while 18-year-old winger Brayden Burke is 10th in league scoring with 20 points. Wednesday’s contest will be the third game of a six game road trip for the ‘Canes.
