DAY 3: Aswan - Philae Temple - Nile Cruise
Your included flight arrives in Aswan and then you make your way to the water to board a Nile cruise
ship. Freshen up and get ready to be astounded by the sight of the High Dam of Aswan. Learn more
about the history of the construction of the dam, and the creation of Lake Nasser, which
necessitated the relocation of thousands of citizens and very important monuments. This includes
Abu Simbel, which is on the itinerary tomorrow. Continue onwards to Agilkia Island to explore the
Temple of Isis at Philae. Return to Aswan and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4: Nile Cruise - Kom-Ombo
Enjoy the amazing views as we continue to navigate the Nile on our 5-star cruise ship. Opt-in on an
excursion to the Abu Simbel complex - to massive temples at the southernmost tip of ancient
Egypt’s borders. These Nubian Monuments have been around since the 1200s, when it was carved
from the mountainside! Stopover at the Temple of Kom-Ombo this afternoon to learn more about the
crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god Haroeris. Overnight on the cruise ship as we make our way
to Luxor.

from bygone days. See the beautiful beaches and take in the views along the seafront. Make a stop
at one of the inviting cafes and restaurants found along the seafront corniche. Return to Cairo where

DAY 11: Cairo - Amman - Wadi Rum
Get ready for a desert adventure as we make our way to Wadi Rum! Start the day with breakfast
before we make our way to Cairo Airport to catch a flight to Amman in Jordan. Once we land in
Amman, we will head to Wadi Rum and see the amazing desert landscapes. After checking in at our
desert camp where we will be spending the night, we will explore the area on a two-hour 4x4 Jeep
safari! After a day filled with desert-adventure, enjoy an authentic Jordanian dinner by the campfire.
Finish your day off with some spectacular stargazing.

Make your way into the desert to explore these striking landscapes on a 4x4 safari with expert local
guides. Gain a new appreciation for its arid beauty and spend the night in a tented camp in Wadi
Rum.

attractions, including the majestic Amphitheater. Overnight at a hotel in Petra.

Embark on a guided tour of Petra with free time. Back in 300 BC, Petra was the capital of the
prosperous Nabatean Kingdom. Swiss explorer Jean Louis Burckhardt famously wrote about it in his
diary. “It's one of the most elegant remains of antiquity existing.” He penned this when he
discovered the site in 1812. It's easy to see why - Petra is simply breathtaking. It is also known as
the 'Rose City' due to the colour of the stone from which it was carved. However, the site is best
known for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system.

DAY 13: Petra - Dead Sea - Kerak - Amman
Board the coach to head for the Dead Sea as we leave Petra behind. Experience first hand what it
feels like to float in the dense, salty water that is purported to have healing properties. Pay a visit to
the impressive Kerak Castle, a relic from the 1100s. Make your way to Amman and book in at the
hotel this evening.

Step into the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is actually not a sea at all, but a lake that contains more than
30% salt. It is also the lowest place on earth, at 417 feet below sea level. The water's properties are
said to cure various skin conditions. It may also relieve respiratory ailments. The lake's mud is used
in spa treatments at the hotels along its shore. Please note: entrance fee applies.
Visit Kerak Castle. This fantastic Crusader stronghold, and later Mamluk fortress, is one of the
largest crusader castles in the Levant. Construction of the castle began in the 1140s, under the rule
of King Fulk of Jerusalem.
