Damico, who heads The Posse Racing Stable, a partnership group consisting of close friends, turned his attention to Pennsylvania because of the money that can be made by breeding and racing homebreds. He is also vice president of the Georgia Horse Racing Coalition, working to bring horse racing to Georgia. Damico and his partner Tom Schulte started a Thoroughbred operation at Schulte’s Southern Oak Farm in Ball Ground, Ga., last year, in anticipation of Geor- gia legalizing pari-mutuel wagering. The Posse has about a dozen horses in training at tracks in Penn- sylvania, New York, New Jersey and Florida.
